Holy shit, Wada Kouji is dead. :'(

Maybe nobody else here cares, but he's the guy who sang all of the Japanese openings and a bunch of other music for the first four seasons of Digimon, including "Butter-fly"...
Me, my sister and my friends were all really into the series while it was going back then, and the music was a huge part of that. I loved all those songs and still know most of them by heart...D:

It suddenly feels like an important piece of my early life is gone forever... :'(

Yeah, depression sucks. It's hard for other people to know what to do about it. FWIW, I like having you around, and would be sad if something happened. So yeah. Hang in there, etc.

What he said .-. No matter what thoughts come by in your own mind--no matter who you are--people care about you. No matter how many times people may have given a polarized reaction while caring about you, there are people who sincerely care about you. What I've learned, personally, is that sometimes people say things in frustration in not being fully able to handle or help another person. As strange as that is to me (because I'm comparing and really forgetting my studies to do a memory lapse?[/cynicalvoice?] <_>), it's something that does occur.
And speaking as someone who is depressed daily [NOT TO BE TAKEN AS GENERAL STATEMENT OR whatevercanbeimplied because this is just personally me, and depression is contextual, not to be taken as a general notion], depression can be liked to its effect on the immune system--just as it weakens the WBC count, so too does it possibly nudge one's mental insight into focusing on negative stuffs, being more open to general details as if they do apply, which includes negative ones that may tend to exacerbate the impression, which may lead to diverting the focus into what happened later on, or other significant portions which allayed that experience, and in general poking someone to a sense of detachment. :-\ It's generally not 'I feel sad all the time' though, because there's a difference between being really really sad, and depression in of itself.
That's partly why I feel tired everyday .-.
Wishing you well there Vec, and all others here.
As an aside, random internet browsing brought me to something here that holds animated shorts revolving around important themes :O Maybe it'll help others with the details in the link.

Just needed to get it off my chest.
:D

I didn't call any clinics or doctors today because I was distracted.

Holy shit. Somehow I didn't think of my ADHD as crippling before recently?? But this is not unusual for me. I didn't start behaving this way once I realized how much of my behavior was due to ADHD. But goddamn, I have difficulty functioning.

http://www.latimes.com/nation/la-na-louisiana-public-defenders-20160408-story.html

Yup, and guess who the defendants eventually blame and go after? That's right, the lawyers who were nice enough to defend them despite not getting paid much or at all, (who are hated and regarded as "bottom feeders").

For all that talk of "The Constitution" and the "Founding Fathers" as a nearly sacred thing, nobody wants to pay for what it and they said you have to.

Meanwhile, I'm having to deal with some lovely and threatening situation and unsure when / if that will end. As a human being, I find myself thinking horrible thoughts no one should have to concerning this thing like, "Maybe he'll go after one of the other ones instead of me," because we all have an inherent bias toward our own personal safety. Of course, the better thought and outcome would be, "Maybe he won't go after ANYONE," but there's that primitive part of the brain in all of us that tries to bargain with the universe as if that were a viable thing. I'm imperfect and operating with imperfect tools as a person and trying to improve that.

I realize I come across as impersonal, because my method of doing that is trying to not make it personal, which is against all human instincts. It isn't natural to try to take yourself out of the equation, which is my best option. Fact is, this man is going to do what he is going to do and there is not a thing I can do to stop that from happening. If and when it happens, my being afraid of it won't prevent or cure it. Thus, prepare responsibly, be proactive, and be ready to respond if and when it does happen, are my only recourse. Obviously, I'd like to not have to worry about this at all, but that's not practical. Ideally, he'd change his behavior or never have behaved that way at all. Not happening. Again.

All of this is yet another lovely byproduct of not funding the justice system. Taxes? I don't care what and if you're paying them, I know they're not ending up in the courts.

Once again, the irony of the situation is, he went on to do far worse things than the crap I got him probation for. Go figure.

When I get job interviews (when they don't toss my resume as "overqualified"), do you have any idea how hard it is not to laugh when they ask why I'd "give this up?"

That's terrible. I wish things would improve faster in the world than the crawl we have right now.

I guess I'm still a stupid naive kid who believes that one day things will get better...

Someone mentioned that Hugh Jackman's singing sucked in Les Mis. Suddenly I'm doubting myself super hard since I made it through that film many times thinking the vocals were stellar. Listening to it again... I'm not sure if it's good or bad anymore. I'm kinda sad since Jackman is a great actor and he was proud of his singing in that film. How do I parse good singing from bad singing (excluding obvious garbage of course)?

@Vector:I'm late on getting here, so I don't know whatever it was, but *applies hugs*.  Hope you're feeling better.

@Truean:Again, stay safe...

@Cinder:I will just reiterate what others have said:If you want it, work for it.  I think you can do it.
