I'm not really tired yet, but if I go to sleep anyway I will have trouble getting up because I honestly don't feel like waking up at all every morning, so basically all my options are bad.

Well, you might need a therapist to help with that last part. Either that or a really REALLY good alarm system. The kind that basically forces you out of bed somehow...

Humm, forcing art rarely works out well, so i'unno. Get drawn into the endless TV Tropes vortex? Last resort for unproductively spending a long time. At some point you might even get bored enough to fall asleep. :v

Also re: mornings, i feel ya. Getting out of bed is by far the most difficult thing i do every day, ESPECIALLY with early mornings. I believe the classic thing to do with alarm clocks is to place them way out of reach, so that you HAVE to stand up in order to make them shut up (and also make them annoying enough that you can't just sleep through it). It certainly complicates the Endless Snooze Cycle(tm), though i've often found myself just walking back to bed after turning it off. :P

At least not turning gay

Homosexuality is an inherent psychological trait. I don't think you can "become gay". :V

Nitpicking aside, I offer thorough condolences and hope that you recover from shenanigans relatively unharmed.

Just out of curiosity: Has that ever been conclusively shown? A couple weeks ago I argued the slightly stronger claim that homosexuality is genetic, and it was surprisingly difficult. Then again, the guy I was arguing against is a contrarian sonofabitch, so :P

The problem is that I didin't have problems in mornings, even early mornings not so long ago, after all. I could sleep for two goddamn hours and still get up like it's nothing because I had a reason to do so. It's not like that I don't wake up, it's that I don't see a point in actually getting up and starting the regular day schedule or rather just don't feel that I need to. I know how this sounds but it suprises myself how much stuff in my life changed due to something that theoretically shouldn't have that big impact at all. I would be proably mad at myself If I didin't knew that I did everything I could anyway.

It's not really know what causes/influences sexual attraction. Imprinting is pretty major but really awful to study. Genetics might be involved but it's impossible to tell right now.

Proably, but I don't want to have anything in common with the rapists. I can already feel myself getting extra toxic due to "getting proffesional help".

I actually wasn't sad until I came to the sad board. This argument makes me sad, because it usually leads to divisions the like uncaused by any other argument... I think that honestly, no conclusive answer will be found because of the implications of any such an answer. ( ie, I think that any "proven" answer on the matter would be temporary and lead to much persecution of some group or another on some grounds or another. )

My advice is to force yourself into the routine until you find a reason again. Depression is a hard thing to deal with, but not doing anything at all only made it worse for me. Everyone's experiences vary, so I can't even say that will help, but I think there's lots of evidence it will. Maybe also try to get some more sunlight to help with the physiological side of depression, but I know that's probably not going to be something you're very willing to do.

Is there a particular reason you don't want to, or... something? I mean, a professional would be waaaaaaay more useful than venting in the sad thread.

And there's no reason you can't be sullen and mean-spirited towards the therapist if you just don't like therapist kind, it's just that they've studied for years in the art of how to help people stop feeling terrible and so are more likely than us to be able to help. If you're just wary of psychology ( understandable ) you could try a priest of some sort? They also tend to have years of training in helping people stop feeling terrible. Barring that, at least talk to somebody in person, it's more effective than reading text.

If only the daily routine didin't involve something that could be compared to scraping the wounds with a cheese grater. I mean fuck, there's a reason I'm venting here right now, because I can already kind of deal with my own daily dose of bullshit that my mind comes up with... as for sunlight... fuck it was snowing few days ago and the weather is still horrendously shitty so the only way to get sunlight here would be proably going above the clouds in a plane, which I don't really own.

First... well, I don't really know what I have against therapists, I proably just don't respect and trust them. As for priests - well, great fucking idea, except I would proably end up arguing over religion resulting in huge shitstorm, instead of actually talking about stopping felling terrible, because, again, I proably don't respect them... and for just somebody in person - there is a few people I could theoretically want to talk to, but none of them want to talk to me (big fucking suprise though, they have their own lifes and I'm pretty sure they don't want to get sad even more due to me and it's just way easier this way), maybe except for the whole reason for all this but none of us actually want to initiate the talk and... I'm afraid that in the end she would actually just go with it and somehow try to help me, which is why I'm not going to mention anything.
And yeah, don't get me wrong but it's not like I actually trust you guys, but I literally got no better ideas right now so venting here is basically everything I've got, even if I should stop long ago.

Thing is, reputable therapists are educated, trained professionals who can potentially offer insight on what's bothering you rather than simply offering a sympathetic ear. And I don't know what your views on prescription drugs are, but I personally know several people who take medications for a variety of mental ailments (depression included) and it really does help many of them. A therapist might be able to identify if your particular issues can be tied to things like hormonal imbalances which might be treatable.

The vast majority of us Bay Watchers on the other hand...all we can really offer is the sympathetic ear.

Fing about ferapy is you kinda need to want to do it for it to work. Also have something of a rapport with the therapist.

It's probably a good idea for Kot, but they would need to be motivated to do it for weeks and weeks for any benefit.

But they also require money.
And it certainly says something about my views on therapists and drugs if I'd preffer to spend the money on something else, even if that means drinking myself unconscious, which is rather unhelpful in the long run.

Then maybe I should ask Escaped Lunatics for an opinion...

EDIT: Fuck I'll at least try to get two hours of sleep.
