Why is it that I wake up and the first thing I hear is that David Bowie is dead?

David Bowie died. I never felt very affected by celebrities or artist dying before, but now I feel like somehow a part of me is gone. I feel a bit ridiculous to feel this way over somebody I never met, but his music meant a lot to me.

Generalizations are oft useful at a glance, but they ultimately do not tell the whole story, just like Hofstede's Cultural Indices.

Humans, as we are prone to err, tend to generalize things based on various instances of events that occurred in our lives. Perhaps, all the humans you've met have been one flavor of stupid or arrogant, and it is your right to hold your opinion as such, because you experienced the events only you experienced, but it is ultimately not the final truth in this world, as evidenced by the various acts of love we all experienced at one moment or another.

RIP David Bowie. On local side, RIP German Moreno. Both guys inspired a lot of people with their acts, what with David Bowie's masterful music and, in the Philippines, German Moreno's friendly hosting prowess and showmanship.

Statistically-validated stereotypes are a thing.

But also, I don't know exactly where my mind is at regarding Race.
For me, Race is simply country of origin. But from that we make assumptions regarding culture, religion, etc.
So I guess you could always refer to people by their culture, but we don't really have a word for it, other than 'Eastern', 'Western', and other tragically vague, or geographically centric, words.

So... I dunno.

Well....2016 is shaping up to be a fantastic concert year in the afterlife. Or was Lemmy technically 2015?

David Bowie didn't die, he just went home.

Weirdest thing is, I was *just* reading yesterday how he has this new high-art concept album coming out that's like a mixture of jazz, hip-hop, Krautrock and some other stuff. In keeping with music tradition, this will probably turn out to be his most critically acclaimed album ever. Interesting bit was how one of the studio musicians was quoted as saying that Bowie wasn't sick, that he came into the studio and belted it out and put 110% into it. Wonder if they even knew.

You mean this image isn't 100% accurate??
I like how easy it is to tell who made the table (even if you only look at the translations).

... David Bowie, aw man ):
Thanks for everything

dunno, it's pretty hard to tell who made it on account of the resolution being about 5x5 pixels :v

Can't sleep, thinking too much. Guess I'll give up on getting much sleep before my appointment... oh well.
Doesn't really matter if I'm half asleep for it. Indeed, that might even make it more bearable.

Still, I wish I still had the willpower/motivation to reset my sleep pattern the way I've done in the past.
It doesn't help that my housemates are so utterly unsupportive of/bewildered  by my need for a decent sleeping pattern. ::)
