I'm feeling extremrly depressed again, worse than before. And I was doing so well too. I've managed to be happy for so long and yet all it took was me coming to the realization that my mother had essentially fabricated my hatred for my grandfather for her own reasons, and that I had trusted her enough to allow her to do it. Oh well.

For getting help with issues like that, presumably using a throwaway account. https://www.reddit.com/r/raisedbynarcissists/ is one that I have seen (I don't know if your mother is a narcissist, of course, and they use acronyms that I don't know like they're secret code words)

Found out my boss is French. I said "that's great"
She replied "yeah, as long as you're not in Germany, or the UK, or wherever else they don't like French people."
To which I wittily replied "Like Syria?"

Nobody laughed.
Well... One person laughed. Loudly.

I have gotta cull my sense of humor.

I also laughed. Also, I laugh at "everyone hates fat, lazy, dumb Americans" jokes all the time, so I probably would have laughed were I said boss.
