seems the only way for me to succeed is to fail

juggling between handling ojt-family business, college paper work, thesis and a lack of funds, i have found myself really damned depressed.

add to that due to the stress factors above, i screwed up two different things in a row.

i scared off a client for fambusiness and have a massive water bill (x12 of what we regularly pay)

if i keep failing i might as well go. better that way for everyone involved

Well visiting my friend I don't want to visit today because he whined about it long enough.

What is odd is he pretty much knows why I haven't been visiting (depression) but considers that a reason to visit as in "Your always depressed, thus it doesn't matter that your depressed"

Ohh well...

Only Bauglir could manage to turn the very act of waking up, already the worst part of any day, into a violent ordeal. My alarm goes off, jolting me awake with the typical flailing of limbs that accompanies every time I am yanked from the sweet embrace of rest at an ungodly hour like "the morning", but this time my leg decided to cramp first. Momentum responded with, and I quote, "AIN'T NO STOPPIN' THIS TRAIN WE'RE ON", and so the limb continued its path. Think I pulled something, because it hurt like hell and now I can't flex or put weight on it without extreme pain and weakness (the sort of weakness that causes Bauglirs to fall over if they were relying on the limb to stay upright), unless I sort of crabstagger along in an extremely awkward fashion that I assume doesn't attempt to use the relevant muscles.

Understandably, I am not going to my 8 AM class today. Fortunately, the lectures are all available online. Meanwhile I hope a few hours of rest and elevation can fix the problem or my whole day will be shot. I had plans. Schemes, even!

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Happens to me all the fucking time. Best thing seems to be to work with it regardless of the pain until you can move it again correctly.

It'll hurt all fucking day regardless, but at least it can be functional while painful.

seems the only way for me to succeed is to fail

I know these feelings! I'm having them right now!
It's such an interesting experience!

I've been doing nothing but apologize and self-criticize the last two days over my personal failings, and now my self-esteem has reached some sort of crazy negative nirvana.
The best part of that is, I'm doing nothing to change the things about myself that make me fail!
The point is:
Fuck, life is grand.

It's my cousin's birthday today. The one who shot himself five years ago.

Also, I overslept and missed all my classes.

Wow, it's been a heavy couple of days. :( I'm rooting for al you guys, even if I don't have time to address every post.

Relatedly, I have achieved nil today, and I set off my tendonitis again while exercising to try to stop it being a dead loss. Curse the fragility of this body of mine.

*sigh* We just can't go a month or two without some major shooting happening these days.

I'm gonna bet 1,000 dollars (not in actuality of course) that it was someone with mental illness. Actually, no, saying that sounds a bit crude or crass or something.

Eck. Hormones, crushes, and then mood swings. On top of this, I have to read the fault in our stars for Dutch. I don't feel like I can get through this book right now.

The shooter posted a thread on 4chan's r9k board last night basically predicting the shooting. Due to him being a frogposter on 4chin's 2nd most cancerous shithole of a board, he probably was a bit of a nutcase.

Dude took a gun and gone shot a bunch of schoolkids. Of course he was bonkers, you'd have to be sodding balmy yourself to say otherwise.

Alright, we'll compromise, because he both shot a bunch of people AND because he made a thread in a cancerous shithole of a board using a shitty frog maymay predicting the shooting, it's safe to assume he was bloody wobbly in the headjelly.

I imagine it wouldn't be impossible to reason through to the conclusion that you should kill children. Some of the premises would probably have to be wrong though.
