It sure sounds like it, dude.

...I feel like I should make a joke about Kiwis here, but I'm in too good a mood to be so mean. :P

'too good of a mood to be mean'
you just told someone they need to get out more, this is usually considered 'mean' by most definitions

It wouldn't have been terribly funny.
Probably just something like "Good thing you have sheep, then!" Unoriginal I know.

But at least I didn't say it! Because that would be both mean and not particularly funny. :P

Mwahaha, you should try my path. 'Tis a lonely one (and not self imposed :P) but it is the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference. /reference.
wasn't that poem ultimately about the ridiculousness of picking a path based on how well-travelled it was

cause i could swear it was pre-hipster satire of hipsters

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's a good poem, but ultimately Hipster. It encourages picking the less travelled path. "I took the one less travelled by, and that has made all the difference."

Also there has never not been hipsters.

Also stop thinking so much about hipsters, that's such a hipster thing to care about.

According to Wikipedia, which is of course never wrong about things, it was actually poking fun at indecision, which is not quite the same thing as I had remembered. Alas!

Never. I won't rest until so many people think about them that they become mainstream.

Technically you can never have them become main stream. If it becomes mainstream to dress like a goth, expect your typical Hipster to dress like your granddad.

then since i will never rest, i cannot die

the plan is foolproof
