I was rude to my grandparents and dad and I feel bad about it and I'll have to say sorry this Monday but I don't want to because I feel like it'll end up with an awkward sermon and aagh >. <

Pretend nothing happened instead. Standard bro apology.

Tweezers?

I either have an ulcer or some other gut problem. I hope it's the latter (because it should clear up by itself), but the former is certainly not out of the question.
...I'd think an ulcer is not the worst thing you could have if you have unidentifiedly screwed up gut.

My sister had a stomach bug a couple days ago, though.

My dad has decided that, given my siblings are too busy with other stuff, most of the farming stuff he needs help with should fall to me.

Dammit, working is hard.

Cinder hasn't been online on skype/poked in to say hi in a few days and the last time they were on they were rather emotional and to be honest, I'm worried about them :c

Hope they're alright. Don't have much else to say, really besides that.

According to my steam they were last on 6 hours ago.
They're probably fine.

So I have this paper I need to write if I want to get a grade from this subject. The topic is Photo Transistors. The proffessor doesn't really give a crap so I got no reference materials and need to hunt them down myself. Trouble is there's virtually nothing to be found that isn't either useless or behind a paywall with no guarantee of it being useful.

I need atleast ten pages (tho even that is pushing it low) and most that I've been able to find is a presentation that's lacking in a lot of places and that would get me some five or six pages tops :C

Have you tried asking on www.physicsforums.com ? There's some knowledgeable people out there that might know of relevant papers or send you a copy of a specific paper if paywalled and you ask them nicely.
A search of the electrical engineering section might also net some results.

I know how you feel. Trying to write a paper on a field with little easily available literature sucks.

Speaking of which, apparently weather maps with rainfall in intervals of ten or more millimeters per fifteen or twenty days qualify as accurate weather data as far as the bio department is concerned. And the rubric for this piece isn't even a rubric: thirty percent of the mark is literally 'did the marker like this'.

Thanks for the link Palazzo, I'll look that place up, they seem to have a bunch of interesting stuff.

In the meantime, I've written the guy an e-mail asking either for a different topic or that he sends me some stuff I can work with, tho I doubt I'll see a response anytime soon since official uni stuff starts in two weeks and I doubt he's the kind of person that's willing to respond to these types of e-mails in his free time.

If you're off-campus, sometimes your university library will have a scheme for you to login through those paywalls through them. Could be something to look into.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Meh. So, I've been generally unhappy and feeling sorry for myself for no real reason for that past few days. I guess it doesn't really help that anyone that I've known for more than a few months is on the other side of the (admittedly small) country and talking to new people isn't exactly a major talent of mine.

No one I talk to is online, olga is feeling sick because the cold came back, I can't stop thinking about things I really wish didn't change or that I wish would change faster...

Today is just awful so far.

Walked upon a dead ARG that never got finished. It was a good concept. What a rotten way to die.

So I'm in therapy which the county is paying for (thank you, it's the least they could do).

Slowly but surely climbing through the ranks of the German tank tree in War Thunder.

With good flanking, hull down tactics, and careful aim to hit the enemy's weak points, I can take down the enemy T-34s.

The T-34s on the other hand just need to lay on the gas and shoot me literally anywhere to kill me in one hit.

is balance tovarisch ))))

EDIT:  I'm gonna persevere though.  I'm being baptized in fire.  I'm learning how to use my tank's strengths to overcome a superior foe.  Meanwhile Ivan is learning how to ape spaz.  Once I've got my post-war Leopard we'll see who's laughing.
