Had a slight panic attack yesterday.

There's a lot I need to improve on, but feeling a little bit more fallible I lose more and more confidence over my abilities. It's just talking to people at work, why do you get so worked out about it?

Life Is Strange. This game is great at making you feel responsible for your decisions, and great at reminding you why that's not usually a good feeling.

Every time I talk to a friend I used to be close with but haven't talked for a while, they're really distant.

"Friends" indeed.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

We had a rather large and recent investigation trying to debunk that phones gave off radiation. One of SEVERAL.

Never underestimate human stupidity, someone will always find a new way to disappoint you.

Well, they do give off radiation. It's just that the radiation is, you know. Light.

Eating a few bananas has a larger effect on radioactivity levels in a human than having an ipad against your face for 24 hours straight will give you. It's almost non existent. And radiation from wireless devices is non ionizing anyway.

It's literally holistic medicine and organic foods level quackery.

I can't really imagine him caring about you potentially getting cancer. Does he think radiation causes homosexuality or something? Because regardless of tablets not emitting any dangerous radiation, from your previous posts he doesn't seem educated enough to tell what it would even do to you.

Tell him what the sun makes.

He'll never go outside again :P

I'm pretty sure he does know that, he told me he's worried about the long term effects, and the possibility of me getting cancer. He's pretty educated, just prone to urban myths and disregarding stuff that challenges his beliefs.

Curse you urban myths!

Minor sad: dad finally took away my cracked iPad because the "cracks let radiation through", now I only have my phone.

I feel like I am staring at the Internet through a really tiny visor :c

A lot of the adults in my immediate family and their friends used to speak of technology as if it was the devil, but not so much now they are all hooked on Facebook and own smart phones.

A more reasonable concern when it comes to radiation sources and cancer.
