The advantage of having like 10-15 years on most people on this forum is the fact that I can say this from experience. People will stop considering you an asshole if you stop acting like one. There is never actually a too late on that. I've literally watched people's entire interaction base with a others change over time, like a little asshole sprout turning into a mighty social anchor.

I have also watched people completely sabotage any hope they do have of that by turning right on fork in the road with the sign that reads "Nah bro, people are always going to call you an asshole, so you'd better act like it, you're not good enough to do otherwise." Yes, there's a weight to overcome, but the only reason people will keep thinking you're an asshole is if you keep being one. As soon as you go "well, I'd better stop trying to be better," you instantly kill all of the work you've done before you even start seeing the benefit.

Reputation is function of your sustained interactions with people, and no matter what you want to be, you just have to keep trying to be that to other people for long enough. Be honest. Be upfront with what you're doing. "Hey, I'm trying to be a good person, call me out if you think I'm being shitty so I can become better." Being sullen is basically the least helpful thing to be if you genuinely want to go for it.

Yeah, people tend to enjoy your presence if you act happy. Halo effect or something, I don't friggin know.

My main problem is that I get, like, really frustrated when people assume that I'm being intentionally malicious instead of just being like "okay not cool what am i doing wrong"

A certain adorable forum member returning is making me feel inferior.

Mostly because I'm an ugly 17 years old man but still.

you don't need to feel inferior

all you need is to feel blessed by my presence

and maybe strive to be me in your future

Wake up early, because still sick. Might have a stomach bug or something.

Don't know what I ate. I felt fine after a while yesterday.

I am so tempted to OOCQ a part of it.

Bluh, I feel I should go back to lifting weights. I feel I've grown tinier during the last 5 years. I feel I've weighted 60 kilograms for nearly half of my life by now.

I've given up. May as well tell the sky not to be blue.
I imagine if Obj keeps saying this stuff I might actually start to believe it, too. That'll be interesting.

Also, TechnicallyAdventurer - I've been there. My sympathy.
Slayerhero... I got nothing. It hurts, but I don't know anything about the situation so I can't really give anything here. But y'know. Shoulder-pat.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

I miss my muscles too. They weren't much, but I worked a year for them.

Also, grandpa's going through chemo :(
Well, glad they caught it early and all that but :( that he needs it at all.
