Ack. I'm finding myself craving a real hug.
Must be hormonal.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Go to a furry convention, I hear they like hugs there, just make sure to set yourself on fire afterwards.

I'll give you a hug, Tack.
I could use the practice- I have something of a social life these days, and hugging seems to be quite popular with most people. Some of my friends even go so far as to use it as a form of greeting- I know, it sounds ridiculous, but I swear it's true.

by about 2060 we will have created a cybernetic capital-G God
You know how many people used that word to describe the world ending in 2012?
Mayan calendar's out, what's the next apocalypse trend?
Important note, but the Mayans and Aztecs actually didn't think that the world was ending in 2012, because they actually understood that their calendar is cyclical. To them, the year 2012 wouldn't have been the end of the world, but would rather be much more like the year 2000 was for us; the day when we throw a huge party, roll over the big number at the front, and then start all over again (and for them it would also involve building all of their pyramids one level higher).

As for the singularity thing, funnily enough for the first time we're reaching the point where past trends show that it actually will happen in the current lifetime of the younger people who are alive today (as opposed to people just predicting it in their lifetime because they want it to happen then). Of course there's no guarantee that Moore's law will actually hold that long without running into problems, but it's something to keep in mind.

That was a joke, but I guess I learned something(?)

But the hugs are soft with the poorly made fursuits.

But you will smell.

I do remember when a friend attempted to convince of how fun bloodborne was, and I was like "ehhh".
Then he told me you could set furries on fire with a flamethrower. Then I was like "OH MAAAAN"~

No offense to actual furries though, I would never set any of you on fire, for my empathy is too great, and my flamethrowers too few.

Hug a sheep.

You get the smelly fuzzy warmth without the creepy sex-obsessed guy inside the sheep.

... Unless you're in Wales.

I'm neither smelly (hopefuly) nor fuzzy (except for my hair, obv) but I'm not sure I'd want to hug anyone from here :v
Also I have scary protruding bones.

On today's sads: woman walks into my office, says she wants to leave the country with her 4 year old daughter. She's divorced from the child's father and he has no idea that she wants to leave and probably won't allow her to leave with the child. After roughly explaining her the proper procedures for such a thing and  the legal consequences for taking a child outside the country without the other parent's permission, she just said it "sounded like too much work", shook my hand and walked out.

I was tempted to get up and loudly tell her that children aren't pets.

It's true, Collie is not only smartest dog breed, but can be quite friendly.
So it knows when you want a hug and it comes over to give you one.

I want a new dog...

One of my dogs is part Aussie shepherd. She's got their dexterity, so she keeps thinking she has hands, but she's also really needy and demands constant attention. So she'll come up and tap you on the elbow.
