Yeah, but that's different though. I can feel platonic love just fine, but apparently when it comes to romantic feelings it's just illogical.
Romance and feelings and emotions generally aren't the most logical of things anyway.

I'm beginning to suspect I'm incapable of feeling love.
Do you care about your parents, family, or friends? If so you can probably feel love.

Maybe you're aromantic? That's a thing.
I hope not. I mean, I don't have anything against aromantics but I'm a clingy and needy person and I still feel alone because my friends don't pay me enough attention, so it would suck if I'm supposed to be stuck feeling like this.

I don't think you're aromantic, based on that you've felt crushes before. From what I've gathered, those can be a precursor to Love, if there is compatibility.

Except that out of the three people I crushed on (That is, me crushing on them, not them crushing on me), the first was a disgusting slob who pisses the everliving hell out of me, the second is a shallow asshole, and the third is already in a relationship and is in the US.

Nevertheless, it shows the capacity, based on what I've gathered. Also, due to some of the things you've said, you may want to reevaluate your view of some of those people.

Basically the first two, Cin (the third is pretty cool). :P
Do keep in mind that if your first experiences are negative, you may get biased when trying the same scope or venture in the future because of the negative stuffs you've experienced, and may show in your interactions (ie...What you said above :O)
That's where doubt comes up. And what usually happens is confusion appears in handling the doubt {'because I feel this'}, and then confusion springs up again in handling that doubt from that doubt...
Know that feelings follow experiences and thoughts. So you ain't incapable of feeling love. It's just 'stuffs' happened when you were getting to know that. :D

Just going to chip in again that romance isn't necessary for a happy life.  I'm happy that the positives outweigh negatives for a lot/most people, but a lot of people are happy without it.

Friendship's a different issue, I feel like everyone needs a friend or two.

What does who they are have to do with what you have the capacity to feel?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

It's arbitrary and doesn't involve me actually liking them?

Tomorrow, I might buy a Mercedes-Benz in cash, and Friday I'm flying to Las Vegas for the weekend.

You might think these are the hallmarks an adult person who's having wild adult fun with his life.

It's really just a confluence of events that are conspiring to reveal all of my neuroses and anxious self-doubts.

I have reached coke-addict levels of paranoia and escapism without any need for hard drugs, this is amazing.

I...uhh, think you mixed up the 5th and 7th word positions :P
But yeah. Everyone needs a friend.
If people think they don't need a friend--that means they seriously need a friend. O_O

*also cheers Aqizzar in facing his self-doubt, and the rest*
