Vector has made it fairly clear that they wish to go by they/them.
You've got to remember that in big threads like these, if someone is back a couple of pages, 90% of us will just skip straight to the end.
So a lot of information either falls through the cracks or is forgotten. A simple reminder would probably do better than thrown handfuls of feminine indignation.
This was kinda my point about innocent mistakes, and why a notice for unusual cases might be helpful. I've at least skimmed every post in this thread for... months I guess, and I still forgot. I just happened to speak that way anyway, about almost everyone.
(It's not just feminine indignation though, I mean, it isn't even in this particular case)
Actually, forgive my macabre curiosity, but I've always wondered if trans people get a secret thrill from getting gender-biased derogoratives thrown at them.
Like grouping someone in with the 'all men are pigs' or 'all women are emotionally unstable' stereotypes. It's inclusion, but in a backhanded fashion.
Just curious. If I could make someone happy by being abrasive and generalist, frankly I'd marry them.
You could just noun "derogative" (yes I just verbed "noun" (yes I just verbed "verb")).
I get a small thrill from being mistaken for female. But, I'm a somewhat fluid cis male with no dysphoria. It's mostly funny because I act a bit ambiguous (IE, naturally for me), and people jump to conclusions.
If I had dysphoria, I don't think it'd be funny or thrilling... It might be a little comforting to be correctly identified, but also disheartening to be denigrated as a result. I don't really know though, since my personal identity de-emphasizes gender. While for most people gender is incredibly important.
Haha what the hell am I even talking about. I feel like I just made a drunk post, except I'm completely sober, in fact I'm riding a completed-assignment high.
Oh, it's because I opened up at all about my personal feelings. Which I only do while drunk. Okay, I think that counts as a sad.
Edit: (yes I just nouned an adjective)
