I'm suddenly working a close-open2close-open chain. No time off ever for me! Ugh.

I've been really tired lately. Been going to bed at a reasonable hour, but waking up sometimes hours before my alarm wakes me. Don't know why. It's obviously not because I got a good amount of sleep.

I'm 16 and a half... I only mention the half because I'm literaly the youngest kid in my grade and younger than a few underclass men too. Hawaiian public school starts a year earlier than here does so yay for being way too young for this.... I'm technicaly a senior now since I've passed all my finals and the last few days of school will only consist of BSing around and looking at navy stuff on the interwebs and probably talking to my sister to see if she can explain to me what boot camp exercises consisted of and what I need to be ready for.
More power to you then! At the very least you have a clear idea of what you want to do - I know people, well, not twice your age, but ~1.4 times, who still haven't gotten that figured out.

Just try to keep out of illegal wars, okay? ;)

Update for recent sad: my mom is back and she only had some bad acid reflux, much better than the things we thought could be happening :) .... Still sad that she's not feeling very well though :/
Holy shit, finally someone young who isn't like a bajillion years younger than me.

2=/=bajillion, Cinder.
Also, I think I know who the youngest forumite is, as of now.
At least, with age actually shown who is a real person.

I don't know how to describe what I feel like now so

The Hollow Men by T.S. Eliot

Mistah Kurtz - he dead.

A penny for the Old Guy

I

We are the hollow men
We are the stuffed men
Leaning together
Headpiece filled with straw. Alas!
Our dried voices, when
We whisper together
Are quiet and meaningless
As wind in dry grass
or rats' feet over broken glass
In our dry cellar

Shape without form, shade without colour,
Paralysed force, gesture without motion;

Those who have crossed
With direct eyes, to death's other kingdom
Remember us - if at all - not as lost
Violent souls, but only
As the hollow men
The stuffed men.

I knew what I wanted to do when I was 16, then real life happened and I have no idea now.
Honestly unless you are very lucky what you think you want to do at the age of 16 isn't going to be what you want to do later. It's because in the vast majority of the population the part of your brain that deals with introspection (and thus is responsible for answering the question of "what do I want to do with my life?") doesn't even really start to develop until the very late teens/early twenties, and generally doesn't finish developing until the early to mid twenties. People who manage to know what they are doing in the early to mid teens and then actually end up wanting to do that 10 years later are the lucky few that managed to draw the perfect number out of the blind bag of "things in X topic" which is about as far as your actual brain has figured out at that point. :P It's one of the reasons why the vast majority of college students switch majors at least once (and why college is often looked on as so life-transforming); they are finally getting to the age where they are biologically developed enough to answer the question of what they want to do rather than just guess at vague generics before fooling themselves into believing that a specific chosen essentially at random from that pool is what they want.
