Pretty much anything fizzy is good for settling an upset stomach.
[Citation needed]

If I drink something fizzy when I feel sick with something affecting my stomach in a way more severe than aching, it makes me feel WORSE.

I think it's actually only gingerales that contain real ginger that help.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

The bubbles themselves help with nausea. It's why seltzer is medicinal.

My girlfriend's mattress gives me back pain. The 'wake-up-at-seven-and-roll-around-trying-to-find-a-painless-position-waking-her-up-in-the-process' kind. *shudders*

Barely slept because there was another night-long party at the dorm. Also was hungry as fuck the entire time, but there's nothing to eat here. Today is rather shitty, because my head hurts from lack of sleep and struggling to not think about certain things, while my stomach hurts because of lack of proper food, now, I'll be having lunch soon but that won't help much because, while I am hungry I also have little to no appettite these days.

Plus certain talks will have to be had with certain people and I have no idea how that will end up ultimately, but knowing me and my luck not that well.

I, too, had trouble sleeping. It's too damn hot! But the roommates seem to object to running the air conditioning when it's cooler than 75 degrees F outside, and I can't say I blame 'em. Gonna have to get cooler sleeping arrangements, perhaps.

That'd be Alka-Seltzer or something, which has an antacid in it (among other things), but seltzer water in general is probably going to be slightly acidic.

Showing my mother around the city today, which basically means babysitting her as she trudges along, gets in people's way, asks dumb questions and generally makes a fool of herself.

Dear gods how can someone do everything so slowly?

She won't talk to me.
She isn't communicating.
She's sick but won't do anything to help and even says there's nothing she can do.
She's got a lot of problems that I know she knows I know that she has but keeps insisting she's fine and nothing's wrong. She won't communicate anymore than single word answers and shrugs.
I feel lime she's drifting away. She's just being cold and at points unreasonable but I guess she's got her excuses. (Personal problems and sickness)

I know that feel, man. At some point, though, you gotta be different people; her pain can't automatically be your pain. No sense in both of you feeling the pain of two people, that's just multiplying misery instead of sharing it. You've hopefully made it clear that you're there for her if she wants you to be, so now you've gotta step back and let her make her own decisions without feeling guilt for it yourself. She's got problems, and you want to help, but if you keep pushing you start to become one of those problems, and I don't think anybody wants that.

Elo hell in Town of Salem is sort of like Elo hell in League.

Except instead of being like 'Oh my god I have to talk to these people sometimes', it's a game which only involves talking, resulting in 'DEAR GOD THEY ARE JUST SO DUMB HOW DID I GET HERE'.
I am beginning to lose my faith in humanity. I am beginning to lose my faith in me.

Yeah, he's a banned spammer. Normally we'd delete this thread too, but people were having too much fun with it by the time we got here.

Except it's fast, it has ranked, and I've somehow gotten to the bottom of that ladder.

Not sad per se, more like flat and tired. Got my blood drawn this morning. I slept four hours, took twenty drops of bromazepam, was up at 06:00. The doctor had to stick me with a needle four times before getting a vein, the bromazepam wasn't working and in the meantime I was shaking and wanted to run away. I really, really dislike needles. And nope, being 22 doesn't help in the slightest with phobias.

Now I'm bruised, I'm tired, and will probably slip into a semi-coma later today.

On the upside I have an appointment with a psychiatrist for the 12th of this month. We'll see if I can get the ball rolling on my transition.
