...I feel like I dodged a bullet in not sleeping much last night.

Butting in to add that I too had weird dreams last night and I did not feel rested at all despite 7 or 8 hours of sleep.

Clearly there's sleep demons abroad.
That, or Cthulhu is awakening.

I had fucking terrible nightmares last night. Guess that's lots of us.
The only thing BFEL still considers a nightmare is "bathroom is flooded/unusable and have to go" dreams. Oh god those are terrible. Everything else is just meh.
I also have those dreams. They're pretty shitty. puns!

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Last night I dreamed about being executed by my father. I have a lot of nightmares about that sort of thing, but oddly also lots of dreams about cleaning.
That sounds fucking terrifying.

I disagree. Let it roll the dice.
In NZ, we actually have a big problem with cats/dogs/ferrets/etc. The local ecosystem can't handle them (the only native mammal here is a gorram fruitbat, and a good proportion of the birds can't fly) so the Department of Conservation is forced to routinely dump enormous amounts of 1080 across the countryside.
The urban areas are a different story, but it's still a pretty poor idea to dump your cat in the middle of nowhere so he can start nomming on our national icon.
I'm disappointed there's no videos about the poison in High Definition.

I remeber dreams so rarely that it's a huge occasion for me. Most of my nights are blank. I may have no soul.

Many people yelling at me; I can barely take it; they're baiting me. Many people destabilize another's emotional state; today this is a favored tactic. Logically, it is flawed. Stressing opposition until stress crumbles it proves nothing and proves not correctness, but annoyance.

"Stressing" tactics are very prevalent now. Only valid coping mechanism I found is internally retreating into fantasy. Life discourages me from this, voiding my coping mechanism. I aim for few words saying much, because attention isn't paid today. This leads to increased nitpicking, just another version of "stressing" tactics. Trying to get messages across and use minimal audience attention, but am often called ignorant or nitpicked. Lack of emotion is mistaken for lack of understanding or motivation. Odd. Sad.

Tragically, discussion died; arguing is alive.

I attempt an exhausting serenity. Outcomes vary; success seen as weakness; failure focused upon. Nitpicking and stressing are constant and needlessly so. The classical style of thought deteriorates and is dying.

Alas, the point of arguments isn't to discuss the differences in viewpoints, or at least asserting the superiority of your opinions, but to get the other side to shut up so you can broadcast your ideas unimpeded.
