Truth be told I still don't really like the person I was in 2009. I was immature and full of vim, and that's great, but I also was terrible with forethought and assumed life was one big game.

I'm gonna be honest with y'all, when I said that I only lurked before I created this account, I lied. I actually had an account way back before I was out and still presenting as male. I never wanted to be associated with who I was back then, because I was kind of a jerk, and I really just wanted everyone to accept me as a new person. Thankfully, most of the people on these forums that I hang out with now haven't been around long enough to know the old me, (Descan knows my old username, but he never recognized it) but some people like Janet, Vector, Tack etc. probably would recognize the name if I gave it.
I still don't want to give it out, but I'm practically a completely different person than 16-17 year old me, so it really shouldn't matter to anyone anyway.
The point is, people change. Sometimes drastically. I've changed more from 18-20 than I did in most of my life, and I'm thankful for that, because otherwise I'd still probably be on the street.

Also, my other point is, Vector called me dumb a couple times, too, just not as my current username.

I first registered a bit after I had first gotten over my pretentious asshole phase, so that's all good.

Instead, I just look pretentious to an outside observer. Dang it.

But at least I recognize that that's my fault and not everybody else's.

If I ever mess up, or say something stupid or embarrassing, or let you down, or anything like that, please tell me.

It's just that... My mind tends to default to assuming everyone is judging me silently because I fucked up some way or another, and they're all just too kind to tell me. That's one of the things I am most afraid of. Please tell me. I don't want to be a bad person and not know about it.

Well, I'd tell you, but you haven't messed up, at least, not as far As I can see. Certainly, if you have, I wasn't around to see it.

What I'm trying to say is that sometimes shitheads don't know any other way but a punch to the mouth, it's good that you understand what you did is bad but he'll probably keep his mouth shut in the future.

I once punched out an asshole in one of my classes.
I got in a little bit of trouble, but seriously even the teacher thought it was deserved.

Plus it got me the most badass reputation, and I had a pretty fun time coasting on that for a while.

It occurs to one that I might have a problem. I trust literally nobody. This is why I end up awake at midnight, coming up with plausible explanations for the welts on my arm. This is why I can manipulate people without them realizing anything. This is why I can lie without giving the slightest hint that I have a problem.

This is why my marks have dropped. This is why I don't remember things any more.

And I'm pretty sure I can't fix it.
