I seriously worry about what would happen in the case of a societal collapse/nuclear bombardment of Australia.
Queensland (For those who don't know) is basically the melting pot of culture. If we were to disintegrate into nomadic tribes it's quite possible that the people you meet on the street wouldn't speak a lot of English.
It's not normally a problem when you order food or go for a job interview, but if I had a terrified person pointing a pistol at me and shouting at me in mandarin/indian/tongan/malay/korean/texan/swahili I'd be so screwed.
>texan
I laughed way too hard at this.

queensland, melting pot of culture?

boy you need to get down to Melbourne.

In unrelated sad news I can't sleep, have 2 classes tomorrow starting at 9:30, have an appointment with an advisor at 1:30, and would really prefer being asleep rather than awake at 2 in the morning.

Also being restless and unable to sleep at night really brings out my negative mood. Can't stop thinking about how I'm stuck in a rut, my life is hopeless, I'm a failure, and I should kill myself already. Obviously these thoughts don't help with me getting sleep.

my good-for-nothing slacker skip-class-all-day-erryday stay-up-all-night-sleep-all-day roommates watching netflix at 2 in the morning also don't help. Can't wait go get away from these guys. I can't stand them anymore.

Hard science is like a sword, and soft science is like fear. You can use both to equally powerful results, but even if your opponent disbelieve your stabs, they will still die.

This one didn't want to be who they was. On the Surface – it was a dull, unconsidered sadness. But everything changed. Which implied everything could change.

Yeah, but... how? Can they swim? Do they have some kind of homing beacon directed at NZ?

Done with the first day back to college after spring break and oh gooooooood I need another break I'm not nearly refreshed enough for this shit.

There must be something I'm missing in my life or something, I am just never happy about what I'm doing. "High school will be one of the best times of your life." It sucked. "College will be different, you'll be more independent and classes will be more interesting. You'll find what you want to do with your life." I'm more independent but it still sucks. And I still haven't found what I want to do with my life. "Once you get a job and start making money you'll feel more positive." No, any job I can possibly think of getting sounds like it will suck. No amount of money will change that.

I am just inherently dissatisfied and unhappy.
Note in brevity due to net condition:

The insight I learned is twofold here in that scenario:
> Your verse is reactive, and not seemingly proactive. Those ideas describe the generality, but are continuous in proactivity.
> Perceptions and viewpoints. How do you judge yourself matters predominantly, in that situation.
> Check if these are what could describe what's missing in your life.

But that's just the tip of the iceberg :P
Maybe references could help analysis?
Or maybe listen to stories -related- to the idea, but subjectively towards the point, and use that as a springboard.
And just another video-link here because I've a ton of them thanks to friends.

Well actual undead zombies would presumably not need to breathe. Plus, they might float in the characteristic manner of corpses

My dad has, in all likelihood, only a few days left.

He's either going to become too dehydrated, or this mystery illness (cancer or some infection of some kind) is going to get him. There's a chance he'll recover, but it's unlikely.

Can't they hydrate him intravenously?

Funny how corpses float but I sink like a stone.
