New studies show that Sierra Leone (as a case example, it probably goes for a lot of 3d world countires) loses more money per year to tax evasion, due to corporations having a mailbox tax evasion company in the Netherlands, than it recieves in aid and trade benefits.

The sad irony :(

Nah. It's a phenomenon of globalized capitalism where nation-states find themselves with less power over businesses, including the power to obtain a revenue return in the form of taxes (while those corporations also rip subsidies from a people with the help of their supporters in most governments).

jesus i'm going to fucking kill myself
With all that's been going on in this thread lately, please don't use this in a joking way. I'm not sure how much more my heart can take of the worry. :-\

Alternatively: Don't do it!
What this guy said.

Long night of stress, early morning of scrambling, and it looks like it's all taken care of. I've still got a pile of other shit heaped up and my head still feels like it's in a vise, but that's all less life-changing stress and more irritant-level stress. Like forgetting all of my fucking notes and schedules when I drove back down. T.T

It's a single character mistake, too... listName[:-1] instead of listName[-1]. The midterms are graded on results, not how correct the code is, apparently.

Do they not get to debug their code in that class? That seems like the kind of problem one could notice straight away upon running the code and fix in under a minute.

They do, but she ran out of time because she didn't notice that she sliced instead of accessed. :( 60% on two questions is lethal.
