My brother may have lung inflammation.
I'm not happy about this at all, if the thread I'm posting it in is any indication.

I hope he'll be alright. Has he any history of asthma?

Fuck, I had so much trouble sleeping, moreso than usual, and of course I actually need energy today for once.
That's probably why I couldn't sleep, really. Might need to chug an energy drink later.
I need to just toughen up and fix my sleep schedule.

At least I had a cool dream... or possibly multiple cool dreams, it's hard to tell.
One involved me and a friend somehow being hired on to assist an embattled fantasy adventuring party, we show up in some strange, cavernous underground dungeon to see what's up. Turns out they were fighting some kinda big beasty and the main fighter dude (who also, for some reason, was one of their main casters) misheard/didn't see a signal and cast Summon Water instead of whatever incantation of asskickery he was supposed to bust out.

Can't remember exactly what happened to the monster they were fighting, I think they were hiding from it?
Or maybe it was gone and they were just trapped down there. Either way, I was cracking jokes and mocking their incompetence as we worked to get them out of there. Whatever weird, dreamt-up RPG this was, there was some mechanic for tracking the economy's movement whilst in the dungeon- every moment they were stuck down here, another party member (some druid-esque dude with weird skin and a lump of bright red hair/maybe a gem in some sort of red-painted leather outfit?) was losing money on his investments, a fact he didn't stop whining about.

I laughed, "It's not my fault you fucked up the job, mate!" and he looked like he was about to lunge at me in a rage, but then the sound affect indicating the players had to adjust for inflation played, and he couldn't help but laugh as well at his own situation.

This dumb dream has me hankerin' to play a PnP RPG. :-\

Well, uh...our moment of sad about Terry Pratchett has passed, apparently, but I just want to add a bit.

Rest in peace Terry, and if there's a heaven, I hope you and Gygax are up there discussing fantasy.

I wonder if there's enough famous and dead roleplayers to start a gaming group in Heaven.
Cos I'll believe in heaven if being a good person nets me the chance to roleplay with Terry Prachett.

I read that as 'watchlisted' and was wondering just what the heck you were putting in your applications.

Wait until you get jobs doing the same to you; provided you're freelancing, or applying to some to begin a career, in the future. Define frustration.

In a sense, I don't know what I'll have more luck with, getting a job, or a date. Both are looking like equally horrible chances.

I'm once again starting to feel like i'm not fully in control of my own actions. I know that i should and want to do some things, but i frequently end up not doing them. It's like i have to wait for some external force to give me the green light before doing anything, even by myself and for myself, barring routine actions such as eating and sleeping and such. For example, i still have a vast amount of cool things in my head that i want to draw, but i can't get myself going on them. Another example being Angry Laser Space, where we're actually getting rather close to going gold, but i have a LOT of trouble getting started on the final sprint. Usually i just end up gaming or doing nothing instead, and with every little failure to do something that i want to do, my mood worsens ever so slightly.

:<

I'm not even sure what's scaring me off of the things like that, but it's bothering me.

I've ran into the same exact problem several times. What I did that helped was to put a file in the middle of my desktop titled "JUST DO IT". As a result when I first sit down at the computer I ask myself if there's something else I really want to do, then I just get up and do it right then instead of browsing the computer. It's definitely helped me at least cut down on my procrastination and get some of the cooler things I wanted to do done.

You and me both. I lost ten percent off my physics course today because of that kind of thing.
