I haven't read any Pratchett nor do I know much about him.

Both of you need to start reading his books. You will be glad you did.

I can honestly only say "it was inevitable".

I can also say that its inevitability is completely fucking awful.

Terry Pratchett has passed away at age 66.

So long Pterry  :'(
I never knew him or read one of his books.

And I am  :'(

I read his books, but I'm not overly upset by his death.

Not in a bad "I don't care you're dead" way. More in a "people die" way, if that makes sense... I suppose when death ceases to evoke a response, that's sad in itself.. :/

I think Pratchett himself would have more or less that reaction. It's just the...finality of it.

And here I just recently re-read Good Omens, too.

I'd think the saddest thing is not that he's died, but that he won't be able to write any more books now. I mean, everyone eventually dies, but not everyone can write Discworld books.

Pratchett dying is one of those things that's going to depress me in those moments when I'm not doing anything else. I loved his books[OK, fine, not ALL of them, but MOST of them]. Those last twitter posts had me crying. I'm not going to say that things haven't made me cry in a long time, because that is patently absurd, but it was like a punch to the gut to read this thread today.

Yeah :(

Normally news of deaths makes me sad in a different, quieter way, but this is just a real downer.

I would have preferred to see him go down fighting the Fire Lord with that baller ass meteorite sword of his, not like this :(

Oh, I liked Terry's books! It's almost sad to hear he won't be writing anymore. :(
