I may have forgotten the book I need in order to complete an assignment worth 12% of my course grade.

Can you get a copy off the internet? Search the book's name and "pdf".

My plan for 'Have a moving picture of the dawn machine be my desktop background' is full of clouds and silver linings.
The good news is, I cannot use a .gif, I must use a .wmv - this means it's way easier to convert (quality nonwithstanding).
The bad news is that it'll be very difficult to show to y'all.

The good news is that VLC has pretty much all the tools I need (including cropping and cutting).
The bad news is that my shadowplay got corrupted, and the whole thing will need to be reworked. (which is a significant time investment in the game.)

But we persevere.

Edit: now wondering if it's possible to just dig the art asset file out.
Is that still a feasible thing?

Sister has hit a bad rough patch. I see some of myself in what she's doing to cope, and I don't want her to make my mistakes. It's not good for you, and it's damn hard to escape once you get stuck there. I have a hard time talking to people, so I'm leaving little notes on her bed. Just little things. I hope it helps her.

Got into an argument with my wife again.
Don't even remember what started it. Just remembered that she started going on saying "I'm not as selfish as you." and I got pissed off and said "Oh, so sorry that I'm so much less than you, and that you're so much more selfless and empathetic than me!" because I'm tired of her making herself out to be so great, and treating me like I'm some piece of crap.
Wound up going into another spasm, and ended up punching the wall full-force because of the stress.
My hand is bleeding now, and I feel like a crazy person for having this kind of reaction to stressors.
I feel like crap right now.

Did the same thing to a door once.  Wash your hand if you don't want it to scar.
I didn't, and I'm on good terms with the person, but having the reminder on my knuckle is actually good.  It's ugly but important.

Good luck, mastah. For what it's worth, I also think it would be wise to think about trying to get out.

Kal: I realise this is a bit old, but are your church leaders on drugs or something?

Got to hear crap on how "people who hit walls are guaranteed to lead to physical abuse".
I'd like to know where in the hell these ideas are coming from, and what "scientists" are being quoted for these concepts. I understand the connection in the behaviors, but just dumping them together and saying they always go hand in hand is so short-sighted and discriminating, particularly when the whole reason they're telling me this is because they refuse to believe that I have a disorder that causes involuntary muscle movements.
Because of course I enjoy inflicting pain on myself for attention.

I have an unbelievable headache right now. I'm not sure if it's from the accidental punch to the head yesterday, or the piling of stress on top of itself.

It's a deduction people make that 'if someone vents by hitting things when they're mad, they're more likely to hit people they're mad at, which could include significant others. Thus people who hit walls when they're mad are more likely to physically abuse people'. There's a bit of a correlation there, but not much of one because it ignores so many mitigating factors.

No, Mormons aren't allowed to take drugs... And AFAIK only one thinks I'm a demon. :P

My actual sads:
I'm so tired. I still haven't had a good nights sleep for... I guess it's been over a week now.
And I've had a headache for almost that long. And I'm almost out of left-over surgical painkillers from when my brother got his mouth operated on, so I won't have anything left to dull the pain anymore.

I also figured out why my eyes hurt so much and I couldn't see through my glasses... I forgot to take my contacts out yesterday. And I guess I just didn't notice, and left my (daily) contacts in for 48 hours. I only noticed because after crying in the bathtub (without water) for an hour, I looked in the mirror and saw that I still had my contacts.

Also I threw up a little because of guilt and stress and self-loathing...

And my girlfriend's mom was screaming at her again because I showed up to pick her up for a date a few minutes early, so she almost started cutting herself again. :'(

Don't loathe yourself, Kal. What's wrong comes not from you, but from the outside. You know you're not wrong: don't listen to those who are saying you are.
As for the painkillers, can you go see a doctor? If you are in need, and it sounds like you are, you should be able to get more on prescription.

I wish I could give you more than this right now. Hang in there, Kal :(
