I just found out that BRIAN BLESSED was on the cast to play Odin in the film adaptation of The Mighty Thor, but Anthony Hopkins got the role.

Natural selection. If you can't use power tools, you don't deserve to survive primary school. :P

I am aware of that. I've been through something pretty similar.

Coughing hasn't gone away, even after about a week. Chest and throat stiff and raw.

The problem with that is that it is quite possible to get others injured as well when not being careful with power saws.

Besides, I am of the opinion that we should have second chances... until your late teens. That's when the culling of the gene pool should begin.

Back in my elementary carpentry classes, we simply had the teacher use power tools where applicable and more efficient than hand tools. In fact, most of my time in those classes went into smoothing the wood with sandpaper, because the school didn't have a power tool for that. I then later swapped carpentry for tailoring, so I didn't actually get to use any power tools in elementary school.

But orbital sanders are pretty much the safest power tools ever! I mean, you can literally press it on your hand without more than a graze. They're a pretty good introduction to how power tools feel.

+1 shock and disappointment.

My sad:  I keep opening up tabs that I want to read/watch, but never find the time to.  Eventually, my brower gets so full with tabs that I can't even tell what's what anymore, I weed stuff out to throw in a bookmark folder where I queue stuff up.  And there it stays for eternity.  Goddamnit, why can't I have the time to do everything!

I really hope the psychologist people figure out what's causing my involuntary muscle spasms.

I now have minor bleeding on my face and hand, along with three separate spots on my other hand where some skin was torn off, and a serious headache. All involuntarily self-inflicted.

It might be stress. Have you separated from your wife and her awful family yet?

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

You should masturbate more.

I'm dead serious.

No, I have not. I know that stress makes it considerably worse, but I still would like to know the actual cause of the spasms.
But I do know that stress from them was the trigger for the current one, because of an argument.

You should masturbate more.

I'm dead serious.
I.
Um.
Interesting suggestion, but how is this supposed to help? I don't think I'm following your line of thinking here.
