I have an assignment to write and two tests tomorrow, and I have a fever and headache.

Goddamnit, tried getting a reasonable amount of sleep, which of course means hours of lying there awake, occasional patches of sleep, and then vivid dreams meaning what sleep I did get wasn't very restful.
I'm supposed to be hanging out with my father today, and I'd probably be less tired if I'd stayed up most of the night.

Once I move on the weekend, I'll have to get back into a proper sleep schedule. It's gonna be nice having a proper room for a change.

Looks like I have to miss class tomorrow, as Tuesday is the only day I can get in to see my doctor. And I've already missed the maximum 2 sessions, and I really really like my Tuesday classes. Technically I could wait until next week, but it would also have to be a Tuesday. And sooner would be better for medical things.

Doctors notes almost always count for excused absences by school rules (which override whatever rules teachers may have). As such if you pick up a note you'll almost certainly not be able to be punished for missing a third session.

Yeah, a doctor's note is like the primary reason to get an excused absence.
In my middle school there was this one girl who got an award for having no absences at all.  I was pretty salty.  Then again, I was also jealous because she was really bright and motivated.  But really, an award which encourages going to school despite doctor's advice is no good.

Aaaah I remember those 'bright and motivated' types. And the effort they put into assignments. Always made me feel especially dim and unmotivated when I showed up with some shitty piece of cardboard with info I'd scrawled on at the last minute, next to their all-singing, all-dancing extravaganza.

No voice ever goes away, they just fade into irrelevance. Give it a decade or two, and they'll rank alongside the flat-earthers and the proponents of slavery. Against ignorance and hate, simply persist, and their falsity will become self-evident over time.

I know how you feel... it's kind of annoying, really. I hated going to the middle school awards ceremony, because you could accurately predict at least one of the recipients of every award by saying the same person's name over and over.

I used to consider myself one of them before I knocked my Wisdom score up a few notches.
