I'm listening to Sabaton and realising just how badly I miss wargaming. Nothing quite like lining up hundred of little lead people and spending four hours rolling dice and painstakingly measuring out inches to simulate the grand scope of pre-battle strategy and battle tactics.
I'd ask you to play some Crossfire with me, but it sounds like you actually enjoy that whole four hours of measuring stuff. :P

Only slightly, heh. It's kind of fun, but I could do without it. Moving the figures physically is satisfying, as is rolling millions of dice.

I just realized that I seem to be the only one who is moderately enthusiastic about gaming with other people after getting ignored by a Steam friend.

I guess I'm too shit at games to be worth inviting along.

bitch I am up late at night, message me and i'll play the hell out of some TF2 with you

It's supposed to be a 'chill camp'. So basically I'll be exposed to people twenty-four hours a day for three days, and there won't even be much structure or purpose to it. Also I have major stuff I need to get done by next week.

So today i finally told my mom about how i'm strongly in doubt about my current study and that i would rather be studying something graphics-y. Her reaction? She got mad, ended up giving me the usual hateful tirade about me and my brother not being outgoing enough and just sitting at our computers all day. So, parenting tip from Shook's mom: if your kids are sad and in doubt, get mad at them for not doing enough, this will fix everything.

>:C

I was on the fucking verge of tears from anger and emotional pain, and at the moment i respect her a lot less as a parent. But, i'll forgive her, eventually.

* Arx chalks another mark up onto the 'mediocre parents' board.

Let it cool a bit, and then bring it up with your father or something? Don't just let it die.

Well i did let it cool off, since i would have gotten absolutely nowhere by going full rage mode. Talked to pops about it, and he was much more understanding, although he still recommended that i try to drag my arse through this semester before doing anything rash. I can see the logic of it, but i'm already rapidly approaching drop out-mode, and basically i don't feel for any of the classes any more. It's a very, very bothersome situation in general, since none of the studies i have my eye on are in my city, and i'm not sure if i'm ready to move out yet. :/

Thing is that this study took a much shorter time to get boring than the last one, and i don't even think that professional programming is a thing that i could stand for more than a few days anyhow. At the moment, drawing is the second most enjoyable thing in my life (first being gaming, which i at least know full and well isn't going to support me), and i love being creative, so for once i'm actually pretty sure that i would like to study something like that.
