Well, the Toad has spoken.
Rage thread probably won't be back.
Poor choice of words in meeting a situation, and a hasty judgement of intent as a response to that...equaled a much-so-uneasy situation in those involved. :-\

Repeating a note spoken in the [thread done by Bohandas which somehow lacked a lot of rules in the OP and was edited due to...being against the guidelines], well-meant notes meant to guide others should not be done with the provocation of anger; if anger is needed, may it be detailed and apparent that it is against the attitude, and not collaterally against the person, due to the superficiality of labels in describing a person.

All meant well. The wording proved a weak point.

I still don't understand why the first one got closed

IKR? I thought they hadn't been enforcing it because they realized it make little sense, but it turns out they were just being lax.

why did you censor yourself

also I guess now that there's no rage thread we're just not allowed to talk about what makes it mad, and it just kind of dissipates out into the different emotion threads. Happy becomes happy/schadenfreude, Sad becomes sad/frusted, and WTF? becomes Bitch WTF did you say?

This all smacks of some thought police shit but I stand by the decision to shut the thread down.

You've obviously never been walking down the sidewalk when some jerk on a bike comes zooming up from behind you with no warning, nearly running you over and/or knocking you over (bonus points when they give you a dirty look for it)

Bikes don't belong where people are walking, there's a reason riding them on the sidewalk is illegal in most places.

Because people can't pay the capitalist petrol prices if they're riding bikes.

The problem is that cyclists then go on the road, and whine when they get killed by traffic that had no chance of stopping in time for the dumbass cyclist leaping out in front of them.
