From what Truean said, it sounds like the manager she is currently advising is a relative of the captian so to speak and that they consider that manager more competent than Truean, so, it won't help if the top boss is blind to the managers faults and mismanagement.

Yeah, based on what I know of corporate behaviour "shoot the messenger" is the first course of action whenever something unpleasant is brought up. And that's ignoring nepotism...

And in case anyone wanted to lose faith in humanity (again). "Jesus wants you to get it amputated" edition.

Ho man I'm doing bad. Thinking too much and anxious about...probably nothing important but I can't stop being anxious and probably overthinking.

I'm accomplishing nothing with my life. Can't stop thinking about that.

I think I can guess, but I won't jump to conclusions.

Another panic attack is starting... Yay.

Also I'm going snowboarding for three days with my family, ending the "Run away and spend the holidays at my girlfriend's" thing I was doing.

My grandmother died last Thursday. I didn't feel up to mentioning it at the time, and I'm not sure I feel up to mentioning it now, but I feel like it has to be said. It still doesn't even seem real to me, even though she was in poor condition for quite a while before she went (or perhaps that's what makes it seem so unreal. I don't even know).

My condolences, Kadzar.

I can't help but notice how many people have posted in this thread about their relatives passing lately.

January is the worst month for the elderly in the northern hemisphere. It's dark, depressing, cold, it's harder for them to get around, there's the post-Christmas come down. There have been a tonne of studies done showing this. It's sad really.

Started playing Age of Wonders 3.
It's fun.
Troops die so easily. I get invested in ranking them up but every single battle is Pyrrhic, and worst of all is That's how the game works.
Makes me wanna go back to my total war games.

...hrem, I dont think its that bad.

The campaign's second level was horrid though, what with facing not one but TWO NPC factions, both allied against you,  and each of them with around three times as many cities as you own -at best- and heck alone knows how many more troops.
