I've been deeply depressed for a little while now, and being sick isn't helping it.  :'(

This morning was crap
Left late and almost got to school late
Had to wear my uniform that barely fits me, my shoes are a size to small
Had to go to archery and speech practice (for speech team not for actual speaking) and had to explain to the coach why I can't go to the tournament tomorrow. 13 kids signed up and only 5 are going tomorrow, also at least 3 events were cut, including my humerous duet because my partner never practiced for reasons, my humorous interp is still going though
Went to the visitation for family friends dead step grand mother/mother.
Then went to church
Got home at 9 and can finaly wear people clothes while I do my 3+ hours of math homework

I am wasting my life. I've made this same post multiple times in the past.

Whenever I start feeling this way and I make the logical jump to thinking about what I could possibly do to not feel like I'm wasting my life, there's just nothing there. No options. Nothing comes to mind that feels like it would fill the empty feel. I'm just sputtering along, day after day, killing time and going nowhere. The cynical argument is that there really is no meaning in life so there's no way to really "waste" life. The optimistic argument would be to go and give your life meaning yourself. Neither argument helps.

@Spehss: What do you want to do with your life? Do it. If you're not doing it, why not?
Note that "Figure out what I want to do with my life" is a valid answer, as is something as uninspiring-to-the-casual-listener as "Have a regular supply of beer." You don't have to change the world, and as a matter of fact, it's probably best that not everybody try to. Anybody who's out there saving the world is, in part, doing it so that you don't have to. Moreover, no one ideal lifestyle applies to everybody - if whatever lifestyle you've currently got in your mind as Correct isn't actually all that fulfilling, there's nothing wrong with that. You're struggling because you don't know what you want to do with your life, but remember that there's nothing wrong with that (other than the pain it's causing you, specifically). As a matter of fact, the only reason coming up with an answer is particularly desirable is because you want one - you can have a fulfilling life without a concrete goal for it, and there's nothing wrong with that, either.

It's not a universal panacea or a fundamental requirement for living the Good Life, it's just the most practical way of trying to wrench your life out of a condition you feel to be unacceptable, and doing so honestly.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

^This.

However I've to note: Maybe those feelings are present because you've a kind of perspective which is seen in how you think about things, there, Sphess. Inaction or the fear of failure, or over analysis would lead to analysis paralysis--wherein outcome predictions, due to being analyzed too much in foresight and their results of conclusively seeing that (in general) 'no, this won't help', also work in not...err, getting things done.

This week has been shit. If I don't have an anxiety disorder then I feel deeply for the people who do, because this all feels unbearable. Still, I have my friends and my unshakable stubbornness. For once, I think the former is doing more for me than the latter. I've never met any challenge I couldn't miserably endure, but only the people I know make me feel like I really can do it.

It begs the question, though, whether or not alcohol would become the cure or be the poison.
