Trying hard enough to sleep? Is that like an actual thing that someone should be able to do?

I once lied still in bed for so long that I lost feeling in all of my limbs and actually freaked out because of that. When I finally moved and got some blood flowing, my entire body started buzzing. Still didn't even come close to falling asleep.

Fuck, that reminds me that I promised myself I would try to have a nap today.

Insomnia is the worst. My recommendation is getting up, finding a book, and reading it with a desk lamp until your eyes start sagging.

Problem is, I think I give up too easily. My sleep schedule is... non-existent at the moment.

Less severe sad: I was typing up a long OP for a game last night, went to bed because I had to get up in time for class this morning, decided to work on it a bit before class. Hit "preview," and now I've lost the entire thing because "your session has expired!"

It's been a few days now. Very annoying, slightly worrying.

Something of the sort, although I did not exactly fall from grace. Exboss was ousted due to an office civil war, and left for greener pastures. So now I'm left as the last browncoat in a rather hostile place. I think about the only reason I'm not getting harassed for my past loyalties is that the winners have splitted into a civil war of their own, and thus don't want additional trouble. They did move against me before, though, managing to get me kicked of the research group.

I'm hoping to eventually set up my own exile, and for that kind of thing his aid would be good - I think I could manage without, as I'm resourceful, and I have other contacts, but it would open a lot of doors and make things far smoother.

11 hour workday, and I get to spend the rest of my night doing reading assignments pretty soon here. God dammit, it's the first day of the semester, it's supposed to be easy.

I'm pretty sure I've complained about the whole 'dinner as a social event' thing before, but I'll do it again- what the hell is with people and wanting to eat in the company of others? It's annoying as... something that's really annoying. I don't know. Tired. *shrug*

I hope it doesn't feel like your eye is being squeezed/pushed from the back-end cause thats internal swelling/bleeding: check to see if it goes away/changes on various head rotations and ear poppings / sinus flares (when I had said problem, I basically slowly moved my head around often to try and make sure nothing pooled in one spot and relieve the pain.  Of course, that was just my issue as I dont know what you have.).

Actually the pain did go away for a bit when I shifted my eye around in its socket.
But then, the pain went away for a long time when I bombed myself with meds, too.
