Provided we could work out a way to not die in transit, and a way to obtain adequate power for propulsion, neither of which are disallowed by physics as we know it, we could escape the Earth with modern technology. Also provided we stopped all this squabbling and put our collective efforts as a species into it, since I think our easiest shot at the "not dying" part would involve hollowing out a large asteroid or small moon and using it as a sublight colony ship. Which would probably be an undertaking more expensive than everything else humanity has ever done in the past, put together.

We are totally going to die on this Earth, though. The squabbling will be the end of us, if only by preventing us from getting gone before the inevitable giant rock does us in.

We do have a semi-permanent population on the ISS IIRC. If we add some greenhouses and thrusters we could point in in the general direction of "away".

It's possible if you can create artificial gravity with a centrifuge connected to the outside hull but ya.
One is that zero G insemination is just very difficult for obvious reason then the baby acctually forming would have several defects if they were able to form in the first place
One of those defects being extremely weak bones, children born/raised in space would have very little bone mass because well there's no stress on the skeleton in space so no need to have a heavy stress resistant skeleton

I saw that thread and thought it was someone having trouble getting onto DFFD, and didn't even open it because of all the replies already there.

I see now that it's a tad more serious than that.
