Feeling generally terrible about my lack of ability to do things. The staff here are reminding me of my parents.

Their general response to most of my problems is a generally apathetic, "That sucks. What do you want me to do about it?" Which is pretty much verbatim what my dad would say to me if I ever tried to vent to him. That or, "Look, I've got a lot of work to do, so I can't talk right now."

Plus, giving me a bunch of shit to do while I've already got so much on my plate and completely overwhelming me.

I can relate somewhat. Trying to talk about serious things seems to go nowhere.

I try venting and the response is usually something along the lines of "What? That's not true." and then they change the subject.

Unless it's my mom, in which case I'm called fucked in the head and am sent to the doctor's for a new prescription.
