Oh. Right. Bombings, not stabbings. That's Glasgow.

Eh, you Celts are all the same, anyway.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Increasingly I am doubting my family's views, so I don't even know myself anymore. There are two sides to every coin, and sometimes the only person who can see that is someone who looks in from the outside. Perhaps you're right, though I'd still debate the point of course.

I love getting paid in NSF (bounced) checks. Now I have to pay $19 for the $100 check I cashed that didn't have the money in the person's account.

It's actually cheaper to not help the person out. [sigh].

That right there? That's why I don't accept checks for anything. I once accepted $50 and butternut squash to repair a computer, but never checks.

butternut squashes have excellent market value and that investment is only ever going to go up.

Just be sure to diversify by foraging other types of squashes.

Forage? I daresay, good sir and/or madam, that you insult me! I am a professional computerer, and foraging is for children and amateurs.

I too am a computerer, but do we not forage for parts from otherwise defunct systems? (Though I guess we refer to it as cannibalize, but same thing.)

Perhaps you are one of those bourgeois computerers who discards all parts when building a new computer.

I save them for later, for use in other projects, in neatly organized containers with labels. I do not forage. I organize.

Pfff...yeah, I couldn't even say that with a straight face. They're in a box labeled "Computer parts" somewhere.

rofl yea, pretty sure the ones I have in my box are not stored in the kind of way that will allow them to function properly if I need them.

But thinks like working mobos that are out of date, or ddr2 ram, etc, are pretty useless when trying to cobble together a new system.

Mostly the things I cannibalize are tower, graphics card, PSU, DVDR drive, and hard drive. any upgrading always means a new mobo and cpu, though my current computer needs a new tower (buttons are broken and I have to turn it on directly from the mobo) a new heatsync, and a new graphics card, because my current one is pretty old.

If it has a capacity of 1 negative box doesn't that mean that when empty you can take out one box until it is able to store them all?
