I made a study on these kinds of behaviors in Psych [which became a Documentary; Discrimination of {Sexuality} in Society]. The cause is deeply rooted...

Deeply rooted, as in, it connects with the person's viewpoint of the world (and/or is just an intrusive thought really manifesting--however actually making a story about it and posting it? Less of an intrusive thought and acting upon it).
I would counter that sometimes a cigar is just a cigar, or sometimes the cigar really is a penis, but the cigar-penis is ignored by the owner. While your perspective isn't wrong, per se, I'm sure as somebody who's studied psych is aware of the risk of doing too much psychology.
Of course :3
Psychology made it obvious via terms and the scientific method--but that doesn't say that it can't be realized by observation alone. Adhering only to books and all wouldn't help fully understanding the ideas as they are in reality (due to missing out the idea that...literally what was written was a translation of observation for future times, and stuff)
I'm rambling again ._.

Also why is it that whenever that penis thingy is brought up, I remember Freud >_>
...Accursed fame.

Now, Freud did have some reasonable points.

Of course, he had a lot of off the wall points too.

The post may have been calculated, but that doesn't mean that the outcome was.   The upper boards community has a permissive attitude toward graphic violence, and the majority of the world has a permissive attitude about violence toward transwomen.  It's perfectly plausible for a person to post something like that without thinking there is anything wrong with it.

How do you mean that?
The upper board had discussions about stuff exactly like that potentially happening a long time ago when more sexuality/gender options were proposed. Also apparently the dude was interested in the mod / posted in the mod subforum, then posted this. Screams "ban me" basically.

Not that I want to play devil's advocate in this drama but: whereas it was nasty, let's remember that in the past, people have created (and perfected!) mermaid death camps, taken creative approaches to planned parenthood, engaged in migrant genocide, used suicidal forced labor for dangerous work....

Granted, all those examples were born out of productivity enhacement, rather than sadism. Still...

It's probably more because it was a demonstration of real-life, offensive issues in a very insensitive way.

Wow, just took a look at the moderation a list. A few bans on there I did not expect.

Sure, but this seems like a calculated provocation (hence the "harrassment" in the mod log) rather than an accident or your healthy casual DF sadism.

It was all very intentional. He was super eager for me to complete the mod. I did not realize his intent.

I'm saying that he probably lives in a community that accepts anti-trans violence, and either didn't see that discussion, or dismissed it as "SJW rambling".  Another thing to consider is that Gnorm's post history before this happened doesn't indicate any intention of leaving or causing trouble.

This isn't the first time that I've seen something like that here, either.  It's just the most extreme example.   That said, it's not the sort of thing that I see here very often.
