I love having my parent get mad about my marks, especially when I have 95% in all but one of my courses...

I just spent the entire day in an on and off argument about politics on the internet, and now I am sad because I think I just spent a day doing the most useless thing in the universe since sieving water.

I've realized my life goals consisted entirely of getting out of an abusive environment and becoming a lawyer. The first one was frustraited by the second.

Those two goals were pretty much what motivated me. The idea that the world could be run on some kind of semi rational rules was a wonderful one. The corruption I found was staggering. Some of the more egregious offenders here are slowly and painfully being pulled out of power, but still. It's a sobering thing.

I have come to realize I have no personal life, (or rather what I had was unworkable in society and that slow change is disorienting). It is amazing. I have only talked to a very small pool of friends in the past couple years. There's the odd notion that things are getting better for gays/glbt in general, yet I still have the girls I used to hang out with disappear....

I used to love mental stimulation, but find very little of it anymore. I'm getting sick of being the one to help the prosecution via provision of evidence but never being hired.... Go figure. Makes you wonder where the guy was who should've been doing that gig. I don't want to do anything but sleep.

Damnit. I don't have enough cash to book tickets to the movie screenings I want to go to and go see a friend's band tomorrow night.
Without dipping further into my savings, anyway. :-\

I have an acquaintance who's a defense attorney. He's pretty disappointed by the system as well. He also hates Law & Order because it tends to villainize defense attorneys. Then again, the same could be said for Phoenix Wright and prosecutors.

Ooooooh.
So that's why you're never on. I've been looking for you for a while now. I thought it was just schedules or somethin'.
It is schedules! Steam is off most of the times...
._.
But knowing this, I'll remain online and switch settings.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)
These lacks of what you love aren't permanent. Just like how corruption prevalence is constructed, so too is the seeming wane of combat against it. Keep fighting for it.
This idea is realistic...only that error came before, and at least here, people are learning from it (and moving towards it in a way).

Also perhaps take on mental stimulation in your own forms? Puzzle games? Handheld devices with games and such? Literary fiction/fact stories?
