But I don't have the energy to talk to people...
And every time I meet up with friends I seem to fade into the background and be ignored. :(

And sad for today... I missed visiting my Grandma's house because I got a fever there. So I just lay alone on the couch during my Aunt's birthday party for three hours.

It saddens me that once again my birthday went by without pain nor glory :(

I can't send an email to a person I know in real life and haven't contacted in a while. I literally physically cannot do so. The thought of doing so incurs so much dread and unease that I procrastinate on doing it or bail halfway through writing it.

This is a problem when you have an assignment requiring you to conduct an over email interview and write a paper on the results. That's due in a week. That you've had ~2 months to do now. And you haven't even conducted the interview.

The social anxiety struggle is real.

It saddens me that once again my birthday went by without pain nor glory :(
I would say happy birthday except this is the sad thread and, well, you're sad about your birthday. Seems conflicting to wish a happy birthday to someone complaining about their implied unhappy birthday. Have a pleasant after-birthday?

We live in income-adjusted housing. My mother received a $10 increase to her social security money. The Housing Authority re-evaluated our income and raised our rent exactly $10.

It wasn't even really unhappy, tbh... just me-ish.

I think in truth I'm unhappy for other reasons, such as my boss/mentor-after-a-fashion's exile (long story short: we used to have an international expert in bone marrow transplantation as boss, but the dumbshits at the hospital's board of directors decided it was a grand idea to boot him in order to give the office to a friend of theirs), or that one particular woman which I wanted to talk with very much did not call me  :P

It *might* be related to hitting the dreaded thirty, albeit that held no terrors for me a week ago (I think I'm doing pretty good all things considered, even if some aspects should improve).

(more likely) It might also be related to drinking too much tea in the last few hours. Caffeine overdoses tend to make me feel angsty

Just as I was gathering up my stuff to leave home from my weekend family visit and return to my near-campus apartment, our old cat chose that exact moment to jump up and pee on my coat.

The cat really just wants you to stay. Seriously.

Ugh, studying.

I don't really know how to do this so I'm just copying entire chapters of my textbook.

This sucks so hard.

What are you studying for? If it's a physical science, memorise equation uses and definitions. If it's chemistry of some kind, revise techniques and concepts. If it's maths, revise techniques and theorems. If it's biology or history, cary on like you are! :P

Youtube comments makes me sad, some times angry.
But mostly sad at humanity.

However when I feel sad, most of the time it's out of melancholy.
Times were simpler back when I was a kid.
No worries about anything at the time. Maybe with the exception of class bullies.

That is an expression that needs to be used more often.
