Person?

If we're going for inclusive, let's include everybody! Then we can stop giving a shit what subspecies of trans (or gay, or whatever) any given is and get back to more important things.

I think this argument is the new "I don't see race."

But seriously, we're all humans. Why can't we get along until we go find some species of sentient alien to start up the whole 'bigotry' thing with again?

Well, we could put two and two together and write a book: "The Shit that Hans and Max Did: You Won't Believe This Shit."
He's fucking with us.

this may be because of the part where putting your heart into being a decent human being only ends in it being ripped out of you and shat on?

dunno i'm not an anthropologist

Basically because we clearly don't at the moment. Long term, absolutely, but as it stands insisting on behaving that way is something like trying to make a flat sales tax the beginning and end of a government's revenue stream.

“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.
