Well, I had a bad headache and hypersensitivity to sound today, so I ended up crying on the couch in my church for two hours plugging my ears. Of course, my parents wouldn't take me home because they assumed I was faking it to go home early. Eventually a friend drove me home, but still. :'(

You need a soundproof full body suit to wear. And to soundproof your body.

Welp. Back from my self-imposed exile. I guess. I'm signed in again, at least.

Went home from college for the weekend, played a shitton of Borderlands, and vented to my parents about how utterly lonely I am and how I have absolutely no hope for my future...don't know how much the venting helped. Think I just brought everyone else down by me being there and being a grump. Probably won't have too much to shitpost on the forums now. Hopefully.

Ugh. Real life is hard. Hardest, lousiest roguelike ever.

Just completed my first (mandatory) weekly skype chat with my correspondant in France. My spoken French is quite terrible compared to his spoken English, even accounting for the terrible internet connection.

So, apparently sound proof headphones work by emiting a very slight amount of white noise. At least the ones I borrowed from my dad do...
So yeah. They don't help.

What, Borderlands? I did have a copy for Xbox 360. A friend borrowed it...then their house burned down while they were still borrowing it. Long story. Their house recovered, the copy of the game didn't.

Now I play on pc. Don't have xbox gold anyway at the moment, so even if I did have a copy of Borderlands for xbox I couldn't play with people.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

emotions are bullshit

Eh, sometimes you can't control what you feel. I once had a buddy who dated a girl for almost half a year that was literally detrimental to his mental state. I think he contemplated suicide, even, but he would never admit it.

I get it sometimes too, recently with some girl i've been friends with for a while until all of a sudden it's like "oh fuck okay now I like you i guess." Distance kept me from making a move, and later her getting a boyfriend... didn't really bother me? But I still care way more about what she thinks about me than I do other people, so...

Emotions are bullshit. All I can say is just roll with it.

nightmares

This, I can't really relate to :(

My entire body from the neck down hurts. Today wasn't even really that strenuous, but my entire body aches for some reason. And I still have plenty of homework, and school super-early tomorrow.

Didn't feel like complaining last night, but eh. Anytime is good methinks.

RP buddy hasn't really been wanting RP and such, and I think it's partially my fault. Considering I've denied wanting to RP on something other than steam multiple times...

Eh. Don't intend to guilt trip him as, IIRC, he lurks the forums. Just wanted to get that off my chest and get over it. I only bring it up because I actually slept last night :P
