Sad that it doesn't seem like Audiosurf 2 has much of a playerbase.  I see hardly any existing scores recorded on any of the songs I play.

A plan I was using for collision detection with text has proven to bloat the fuck out of my code. It's too labyrinthine to comprehend well enough for debugging. I'm going to have to scrap it and come up with a more dynamic approach. Bluh fucking bluh.

Oh, well. When this is done, I ought to be able to insert non-text objects into text windows using roughly the same format as string formatting, like what you get with printf in C. Not so relevant to the buttons I'll be testing it with, but damn handy with dropdown menus or input fields. So that'll be nice.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Probably because the original was part of some of the early indie bundles everyone was buying.

I think this is the first time I've heard of Audiosurf 2 since some people here got hyped when it was announced.

It also doesn't help that it's thrice the price of a typical simple indie game.

I imagine that most people still play the first Audiosurf. I myself don't see any reason to get the new one.

Got deep vein thrombosis this May in my left leg, and after treatment, the doctor's prediction is: "It will only get worse". Damned leg hurts whenever I sit more than a couple of hours.

The entire content consists of senseless murder, a pile of faceless naked women and zero regard for human life in general, all in the service of the protagonist's base impulses. It is clearly a cry for help from a neglected, self absorbed and disempowered juvenile badly in need of affectionate guidance. What a sad, sad display.

Because my previous bike had the front brake on the right side, I accidentally engaged my front brakes hard without thinking and flipped. My left arm hurts a lot now, and it has a big bloody abrasion wound. @.@

I've mountain biked in Switzerland once.

I really have no idea why front brakes are even a thing. It's pretty much the most dangerous part of mountain biking o.o

Nonsense.

Do it enough and you learn to break by doing a front flip.

I wish. The front brakes on that bike were pretty much binary.

I only brake by hitting both brakes. Like, why would you do only one?
