@Tiru - what I meant is more along the lines of 'volatile' - she gets set off by minor things, then does things out of sheer momentum and emotional inertia... wow, I've gotten really, uh, physical here (who the hell decided that the words pertaining to an academic field and to something usually contrasted with 'mental' or 'spiritual' needs to have his head bashed in. With a textbook.).

@timferius - Ah, I can see where you're coming from - I have the same thing, except compartmentalized to just interactions with her, and even that I'm trying to counteract. My mum is that kind of arguer that's just horrible to fight with - hell, when my parents were divorcing, she outtalked one of the top lawyers in the city in court, and she's an MD. And it takes a rocket-propelled diamond-tipped sharpened metal pole of an argument to get to her.
Find weakness, stab it with a question.

If that's directed at me - goodness, no! That's like bashing an armed nuclear warhead. With an uranium warhammer. Armor doesn't protect her from others, it protects others from her.

See, when she gets pissed, absolutely everyone in the area is going to have a baaaaaad time. I'm speaking from experience.

Well, that was easy. I had a chat with her about the issues and we've resolved it. She acknowledged she's been unfair, and we came to the conclusion it has to do with here living with her dad while she's waiting to move in to her new place, and the fact that she has no privacy/silence in her life. We agreed I'd work on reigning in my ticks a bit around her for now if she works on not bringing them up every time. We also decided that if she really need a quiet break she should just take one, she's been feeling obligated to hang out with me at work because she enjoys our games of Fluxx on break. Thanks for your advice everyone.

With the way I mentally pronounce it, using 'a' instead of 'an' makes me sound like a Protoss.

Unrelated, in my head 'a uranium' works better than 'an uranium', but uranium starts with a vowel...
Well it makes a 'y' sound, so it makes sense it would sound better with a than an.

U is a consonant in that instance; it's like Y.

get on the dota team instead putman

I've been considering it, heheheh. Definitely not a bad idea, since Warcraft III was my first modding love and Dota 2's promising to bring that back.

Wow that was awfully uplifting.

Judging from how I am now smelling rot and decay everywhere, I'm starting to lose my sense of smell again.

I need to research an inventor for a discussion tomorrow, and I have no idea who to pick. I can't come up with anything that isn't too obvious/generic.
