Be that guy and go to the swimming pool specifically to shout underwater.

Or go to a nightclub and try "talking" to people over the music.

Also, people tend to start speaking louder as their hearing weakens. Try putting some plugs in your ears and talking.

Well, so far I've been intentionally neglecting to inform people of their mistakes.

We've wasted a bunch of food, and probably irriated a few customers because it took forever for their food to get made, but I haven't gotten in trouble for it.

I'll think about it.

Cynicism is tempting.

Wait, uh, drinking encourages laziness? I'm pretty sure I'm more active when I drink than when I don't. Plus, it makes online gaming hilarious when you get in at 2 a.m. and don't feel like sleeping. Not that I've done that since University. Ahh to be young again.

There are too many people who think that covering their own ass is more important than doing their job well, don't be one of them mastah, you're better than that.
Do your job well and tell your coworkers when they do something wrong, and if your boss gives you shit then fuck them. You can do the thing!

He covers his own ass because, IIRC, at his work trying to improve others work is met with heavy resistance.
This.

It simply isn't worth it anymore, if I try to fix mistakes, people hate me, andim not willing to get fired to stand my ground on it.
If I could afford to lose my job, I would, but I don't have that luxury.

I always do that, and don't really care if people hate me for that. I'm lucky I don't need ro rely on one employer to make do.
Please ignore my advice from now on.

So fucking tired. I cannot keep up with my expectations on a 6 hour sleep deficit. Napping as I can, but ugh.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

I haven't gone scuba diving in over a month. I was supposed to go diving today, but I caught a nasty cold and my sinuses are clogged so I couldn't dive.

Now I feel awful about humanity.
