In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

*Hugs Caz, GlyphGryph, and everyone who may be leaving*

*Hugs everyone*

I'm all sad now.

I'm still feeling sick, but not enough to go to the hospital over it.
My fingers and toes are starting to turn kinda purple-ish, and my face is getting pale.
Balance got a tad bad yesterday, but I'm staying upright for now, so I'm ok.
Just totally exhausted.

Unless this is a documented thing that just happens to you whenever you get sick, or you have no insurance and so a visit would cost you thousands of dollars, you sound sick enough to go to the hospital actually. Or possibly a clinic if there's one around, I don't know your area or their ability to schedule things reasonably.

Do you know what your blood pressure is like? I'm hypotensive, and the paleness and balance loss sound like my bad days.

Every single time my blood pressure been tested, it's been great.
I've even had people say how they wish theirs were as good as mine.

And a really trivial sad, why is almost all Christian metal really mediocre? You'd think someone would manage it.

I discovered this dude the other day and his music is pretty darn good from what I've heard. :)

Got into the dorm. Tho this one was my last choice on the list of possible choices and is a three bed per room deal, whereas the one I wanted to get into had one bed per room, with lots of space and whatnot.

Still, a ton cheaper than regular renting, even when you take into account that it's on the other side of the town and will need some sort of transportation to get to uni in a timely fashion.

I had a pretty shitty room a few months ago, but even then I didn't have to share it with others :|

Update on this, while she is still in an induced coma, she was able to grab and pull out one of the bolts/rods in her leg while orderlies/nurses were holding her down, so that's... news. Also, they found her phone and they now think she got distracted by her phone, saw the tree and accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brake.

Pulling out one of the bolts/rods in her legs while unconscious sounds rather badass.

Somewhat more cheeringly, it sounds to me (not a doctor or formally educated in these matters, mind) like there is still a fair amount of brain activity (for a coma) there to do such a thing.

Regardless, I missed your post earlier, so I'll drop my best wishes here GL

It's pretty much unheard of to not have to share college rooms outside of Europe.
