I found the french lyrics and did a machine translation:

France , oh my France

The commandos leave for adventure
The sun salutes .
At night the enemy will be very hard
For those who loot and kill .

France , O my beautiful France ,
I will fight for you .
I shall leave father and mother,
Without hope of ever seeing . La la la la ...

Oh commando , all others will envy
We chose the best.
And the girl who always pray for you ,
Is proud of this honor.

Paddling on still beautiful sea
They shall dream to life.
Maybe tomorrow it will be eternal ,
They will fall by the wayside.

If by chance the death refuses
They will return to the port.
They sabreront* champagne which fuse ,
To the health of their dead.

*Open a bottle, usually champagne, with a slice from a sword.

And a really trivial sad, why is almost all Christian metal really mediocre? You'd think someone would manage it.
Much for the same reason that Christian Rock is also generally not that great They focus more on "The moral alternative to traditional X" than they do on "X drawing on Christian themes and imagery." Several of the more mainstream heavy metal groups have drawn quite heavily on Christianity for a song or two, and done it quite well.
I have yet to see a non-terrible overtly Christian band.

I wasted a good 6 hours today coming to the conclusion that my plan for this project is a bad one, and I'll have to start over. Bluh bluh gonna have to figure out how to make proper svg files to use as art resources.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

Sad #1: Have strep. Again. My kids seem to be recurrent vectors, and it's actually begun to have neurological effects on my son because it's happened so much (4 positive strep tests this year).

Sad #2: Tired of the world. Not tired of living, or all the things the world has to offer, or anything like that. Just the people who inhabit it. My Dunbar's number is down to about 5 at this point (my SO, her two kids and my two kids). Everyone else can snuff it.

Didn't realize that. But looking at the circumstances, I'm probably not far behind him. The forum community seems to be changing (hell, the whole world seems to be), and not in a direction where people like me are welcome. And not one where I can quietly hold my tongue and try to ignore the things I see posted that make me want to bitchslap some people with all the fury of a thousand exploding suns.

This just in: People have differing opinion.
There's difference of opinion, and then there's diametrical opposition. I'm seeing far more of the latter of late.
But maybe you're right, and I'm just a spoiled little bitch who doesn't want to come here for arguments. Mea culpa.
