I enter the elevator. It's filled with people. Everyone wants to go to the fifth floor, that's good since I need to go there too.

I lean against the wall.

Wall is filled with buttons.

Elevator now stops at every single floor without anyone entering or leaving.

Everyone hates me.

I was playing a game of dwarf fortress.

It was a world that had used advanced worldgen techiques to create a world where all civiliations exept for goblins had become extinct from constant megabeast attackes.

My fort had the only dorfs to have been around in over a century, anyway, some trogs from the caverns wabdered up and git massacered, later, I find a troglodite baby in the caverns.  I was so horrified by the implications that I entered afitm in which I abandoned the fort, deleted over a gigabyte of DF files and vowed to stop playing this game.

I'm not very good at following oaths.

This is my sad of the day. How can one despise the very liquid bestowed upon us by the gods? Perhaps you have just not had good beer?

Also you could try an IPA. They primarily taste bitter. Not pleasant, but it's definitely different.

I'm still not quite sure what to do with myself.

I'm just not sure, when I think about joining a new place, to try to ingratiate myself somehow, it feels so futile. I can already see the experience just disintegrating in my head, cause that's always the most painful part, just seeing my efforts go just far enough to start bearing fruit, and then it hits a threshold and it withers away and dies in front of me, and I can't do anything to stop it. That's what scares me the most.

I think I'm starting to gain weight, this is badly compounding my self-hatred.

I have another appointment with my therapist today. I still haven't finished the book he lent me, though I still only have a few pages left to go.
