I'm fine with talking to girls. Talking. In a friendly way. I'm a huge wit and all that. But the whole concept of 'flirting' or whatever seems completely alien and impossible to me, a scary thing other people can do, even whilst drunk.
I should probably read a book on it or something.

I got a girl's phone number recently whilst in a drama course. But I haven't given her a ring or really contacted her at all.

But it just seems like something completely impossible when I consider it, as though that's just a program that some asshole forgot to install on my brain when they were supposed to. I think perhaps part of the problem is that I'm afraid of being creepy and/or messing up, as well.

One of my nieces (older than me by a couple years because weird family, bla bla bla) jumped on me once after some family gathering to kiss me goodbye. I was pretty bewildered and creeped out by that, mainly because she was also super hot. I think weirding me out was kind of her goal, since she and my sister (again with the sister, it's a frigging conspiracy) laughed about it a moment later.
