The prologue was weird, but I can't remember if the talking gets better or not.

I have to admit, I actually lost interest in ASoIAF a few books in. >.>
Sorry guys. I'm not even sure why, I think it was just something about GRR's writing style that lost me.

I know that when my wife was reading through it, she lost interest a few books in, as well, so it's not just you.
We just need to isolate the exact spot that causes this in the series.

You mean aside from all the parts where characters get killed off?

For my wife the breaking point was after someone spoiled the Red Wedding for her, because it was just too much for her to take. I think some people follow a series after getting attached to a specific character, instead of the story itself. I imagine the breaking point for most people is when said character dies off. They may try to plow on, but their interest could easily wane in the story.
Personally, I love the entire story and all the characters in their own way, so I'm good to go.

To throw a sad in here and stay on topic, I've been plowing through a tv series, and I'm 2 episodes away from the end. It's been a great story, so I know I'm going to get post-series letdown soon. It's such a bittersweet moment, finishing up a good story, be it in novel or tv series form.

A candidate from the presidency of Brasil just died in an airplane crash. All 7 people, himself included, died on the spot. Shame, I was going to vote for him.

He may have survived, the articles I'm looking at say his death is neither confirmed nor denied. It could be like when all the papers here reported Gabriel Giffords dead immediately after she was shot in the cranium, but she survived and they had to ammend the reports.

The Air Force confirmed his death, along with all others on board. His would-be vice president also confirmed, as did his party.

This made me realize I know next to nothing about Brazilian politics, other than that they probably had a military junta at some point.

Those reactions are not what is desired. As I said, it doesn't respond to drugs most of the time, and I threatened a friend of mine when he tried to touch me.

Truth be told, there's nothing that can be done for this condition.
Shower in the dark and lay in bed with something wrapped around your eyes? These help when I migraine.
It's a different kind of thing from migraines. Darkness is good (or required, really), but the tactile sensation of water on my skin would probably aggravate it. Laying down is a good idea for migraines but a terrible idea for clusters, making it far worse. Even sitting makes it worse, I more or less have to stand and walk around.

I've been waking up with those from time to time lately. I hope that's not indicative of something. It's pretty paralyzing, especially when you wake up to it.
