Well.

I guess you're financially dependent on her or something?

More or less. My job is min-wage, and I have college starting up again in a month. And I will have to move back in with her to have any hopes of getting to classes without having to wake up incredibly early.
Define "incredibly early"...

These last 3 weeks I've worked double shift half the week, so I have to wake up before 5am and don't get home before 11pm. Then I need to eat, wash my work clothes and it'd be nice to shower once in a while... Other half of the week makes up for it, so sleeping for 12+ hours is normal when I have just one shift.
It's not good for your health though, so I can't recomend it.

The only bus that goes into my college that also stops reasonably close to my dad's winds around a few different towns in the region, so I'm looking at a 2+ hour bus ride in good traffic. It's not a direct bus route, unlike the one I take near my mom's.

I'd probably have to be up at around four so I could have time to get ready and then walk about a half hour to where the bus stop is. Buses used to go through my area, but for whatever reason my side streets were taken off of most routes years ago.

Not something I particularly want to have to do.

Yeah, that's really a choice between comfort and sanity.

Unless you can stay at campus area/town after school. Spending time away from your mom, aka college life, could be fun. Unless she's calling you constantly...
Just keep in mind that she's nuts, and don't take everything she says seriously, whatever you decide to do.

Normally I don't endorse debt, but have you considered taking out a student loan to pay for an apartment in the area? I know your mother's abject failure at education means you're not too familiar with some of the more arcane bits of taking care of a place, but it's something to consider. I recommend a federal lender, if possible, since profit is less of a motive there. In any case, the thousands of dollars you'll rack up in interest paying them back is easily worth the ability to cut ties with your mother.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

-1, that's very, very bad idea.
Minimum wage job + inexperience dealing with money and running household = trouble.

I'm not quite sure if I would want to be in an apartment in the town my college is in anyways. Not the nicest city. I'm a bit of an ass for saying that though, since some of my friends live there.

And if by 'more arcane' you mean 'fundamentally basic', you'd be right :V

Have I mentioned before that I've only just learned to do my own laundry and make basic meals?

Plus I don't work while I'm going to school. It's just a Summer thing, so that would be me going most of the year without income.

The realization that I love my best friend, and that he probably doesn't like me the same way. Not to mention the hardcore insomnia from me anticipating telling him tomorrow/later today.
It's surprising how fast I automatically censored my mind from being optimistic about this.

Best of luck to you either way, though.

Its ok Obejctive, Bay12 still loves you!

Yep, no feelings back. Emotional heartbreak time. :C

Thanks for da luck.
It was inevitable.

yep, but ya gots to be sure amirite?

Yeah, I suppose at least it's a better strategy than assuming that everyone I like is straight.

EDIT: I totally typed something after this quote pyramid, but it didnt post and now i'm even sadder :C

So i'll just say I still love you objective! *hug*

I was watching gay porn and noticed that the bottom has scars on his arm. Spent the next ten minutes crying for some reasons.

Gee, Objective. You've got some serious emotional issues when porn makes you sad.

Eh, I usually cry after watching porn anyways. Just not normally in the middle of watching it and getting my day ruined.
