My 18-year-old roommate came home puking with a hangover. Fucking hell.

MAKE THEM DRINK THE PUKE.

Won't ever happen again.

Will also help them stay hydrated to improve their hangover. :P

Eh, back when I had my drunkard roommate, I left him in his hangover comas all the time and he was fine.

I remember saying I wouldn't post here at some point (Maybe?) but I really have a lack of people to vent to right now.

It really fucking sucks when you have limited time to spend with your friends for the day and no one really can be around or stay around, especially when you're about to get dragged back into some things that... Well you kinda wish weren't happening right now.

If anyone is curious one of my sisters (older one) is in the hospital, we're leaving to visit her soon and I was hoping I could spend a little time with my friends before going so I wouldn't be a wreck like I was yesterday.

Well here's hoping I don't snap and yell at someone again...

I'm worried about her--she's pretty small and I don't know anything about how much she drank, whether she did drugs too, etc. And she's said something previously about having issues with alcoholism that she was trying to stop.

She's lying on her side breathing deeply, though, so I guess she'll be okay.

If you're worried, put her in the recovery position so she doesn't choke if she throws up and won't roll out of it, but souns like she's fine.

I am happy right now and it's mentioned in the happy thread, but I am also thinking that I need to drink more because my life is so meaningless. It's not a happy thought.

Personally, I need a few drinks before attempting to translate poetry.

Go make some friends or translate some poetry~
Alternatively, learn AI programming and go make some friends! /awful programming joke

More seriously though, not everyone needs to be super-inspired by some long-term fantasy about how they want their lives to turn out. In fact, it's probably better that most people aren't. Dreams and inspirations fade quickly with ever-shifting opportunities and events. Simply accept that most of everyone's lives will be uninspired and seemingly meaningless. Personally, I've gone through most of my life completely uninspired, without any particular heroes or such.

So what do we do for those parts of our lives? Well, personally, I try to use them to acquire as much knowledge and as many skills as I can which might help me for those occasional bursts of inspiration that we see as giving meaning to our lives. Just wasting time playing minecraft, kerbal space program, or similar? Sure! Just put up some Coursera lectures on the side while playing, and you'll come out of each day with more knowledge than you would get from a university. Even doing the most mundane, "time wasting" activities can thus be made to help give your life meaning by preparing you for the occasions when the possibility for meaning does show itself.
