Sadly they're not. Yesterday one left me and a friend rather gobsmacked with our jaws lost somewhere in the general area. And this is two guys who don't really lose their minds over good looking girls.
Brb, need to go to the library now.

Last night I had a large surge of rage and sad due to one of the 'Life isn't at all fair' moments I occasionally have. This one being pretty bad.

Nothing seems to be going right for me right now.

Unless they have some eleventh hour experimental incredibly effective treatment, my dad's probably going to die from his cancer, my grandad's going to die of his cancer in a month or two, I lost a job I had for ONE DAY because (and I quote) 'It's not economically viable' (yeah, right.), and then when I play my games, annoying shit happens on damn near every single one I play on.

I wish I could offer something more substantial than internet hugs, because that really, really blows. At least you don't have cancer, though.

I'm at the point where I legitimately have no idea what I'm going to do with my relationship with my parents. They've basically started going in my room and looking for stuff they can sell. My dad threatens abandonment every time he gets really mad, then apologizes saying "I'm sorry I was human and real and got angry at you." My mom says that my desire for emotional support must mean that I don't have any interest in improvement (previous excuses: she didn't want to treat me like I was "disabled," or that she didn't want to "insult" me by expressing sympathy).

Oh well.

I had a similar situation, just physical abuse added in. Soon as I left home, I stopped talking to them in any way shape or form. Not worth the drama or emotional bleh that comes with it. If they don't pull their shit together then I advise doing a similar thing when you leave home cause that doesn't sound like a very healthy situation.

Those are some sad news, greatorder. I would like to say this is perfect moment to remember all the great memories you had with your father and grandfather. If they are to leave this world and there is nothing that can be done, the best what you can do is not mourn the passing of the good people, for everyone has to go. Rather, celebrate that such good people lived, for that is not something that happens to everyone. That at least, is my point of view. I apologize if you do not agree with this, I mean no offense.

And I feel for you, Vector. This is a sad situation you are in and I sadly can't suggest anything that you probably haven't tried yourself already.

But you know how I'm feeling right now? I'm feeling unyielding. And you all should too. Clench your teeth and look life straight into the eyes. And laugh. Be defiant.

I'm listening to this and I'm feeling mighty. We go to the very bitter-sweet end. Surrender is not an option.

Looks like one of three things are likely to happen in the near future:

A:) I'll have to leave work because my health can't handle their filthy working conditions
B:) The place will be shut down because their working conditons are even filthier than I thought they were
C:) They're going to mismanage the place right into the ground, and blame the union.
