Those are really uncomfortable, just so you know. The rubber, PVC, and leather suits just don't breathe.

We're having an amazing thunderstorm right now. Even got a warning phone call from the local university alert system (the same one they use to warn us about murders and suchlike). I was going to go out, but then I remembered I have no way of drying my clothes, other than hanging them in my room, and the dripping sound would not permit me to sleep. Which I desperately need to do.

Once again, good sense got in the way of having a good time.

In the days when Sussman was a novice, Minsky once came to him as he sat hacking at the PDP-6.
“What are you doing?”, asked Minsky. “I am training a randomly wired neural net to play Tic-Tac-Toe” Sussman replied. “Why is the net wired randomly?”, asked Minsky. “I do not want it to have any preconceptions of how to play”, Sussman said.
Minsky then shut his eyes. “Why do you close your eyes?”, Sussman asked his teacher.
“So that the room will be empty.”
At that moment, Sussman was enlightened.

the solution is very simple

wear no clothes

people who would just go out during an alarm-worthy thunderstorm are not the sort of people who would report you

While having net troubles, I see The Walking Dead (Season 2) through friend-connection use :v

...What makes me sad is the ending part. The TV adaptation of what happened regarding
Spoiler (click to show/hide)
was...brilliant, but considering all things that transpired between that character and the rest, I can't help but feel sorry for him. As in, reading him out, I really feel sorry for what he's become (I mean yeah, it is his fault -_-) but still...those minute thoughts which drove him there. :-\
Of course everyone else who got x_x in that season but still. That one person got me. And he's the protagonist-turned-antagonist
Spoiler: But... (click to show/hide)

Primary sad: Net still ughgh x_x Can't get the needed essentials up (Long Live the Queen DF Fort {by Toaster} year update...amongst others like my RTD and The RTD Library)

Wearing no clothes in a storm is a great way to catch something dreadful.

Speaking of loud noises, I'm sitting out on the couch while everyone is going to bed, when the nightly fireworks start going off. After a rather large explosion, both my dogs are trying to curl up in terror on my lap. One weighs 70 pounds. The other 110. I'm typing this with my one free arm.

I don't really see how clothes would stop bacteria in rain from infecting you if it were there. Playing in the rain with no clothes on is fun. Partying in the rain with no clothes was one of the best times I've ever had. And no, I didn't catch anything.

It's not the bacteria in the rain. Chances are, you'll get hypothermia, which disrupts the immune system. If you're really moving about, you could keep warm enough, but cold storm rain is cold.

If rain then wet.
Problem is not the wet. Unless Acid Rain D: but anyways.
Problem is the drying of the waters on your skinses.
Rapid drying. Shaking. Shivers. Bad stuffs from that.
Hence why towels are your favorite and/or taken-for-granted buddy :<
Towels need more love.

I'm stuck between thinking that's the start of a weird poem....and believing you are gollum. "Skinses?"

All you need to complete the effect would be for you to clutch a towel close to you, and after saying "Towels need more love" growl "My precioussss" whilst stroking it.

Anyway. Either Tiruin is a poet, Gollum, or a poetical Gollum. We shall never know.

I have an appointment today.
Basically this means hopefully not sleeping in, going out into the harsh sun (no doubt it'll be annoyingly bright but still uncomfortably cold) stumbling a couple of suburbs over in my sleep-deprived state and then talking about all the progress I haven't made. At least I can try blaming my uselessness on the bad cold I've had, but the fact that I get bad colds like this that put me out of action just makes me more angry at myself. :(
