'We won't teach you the truth, even if it's simpler, until you are older. YOU CANNOT HANDLE THE TRUTH AT YOUR AGE!'

Education systems seem to pretty much universally work like that. Welcome to the club of cynics!

The worst part is that it's usually true.

My GCSE biology notes had A level material notes alongside, with labels saying don't revise this.

They are still going on a rant about the cat's food/eating situation being messy/picky. Mom is, because she's crazy, and dad is, because mom won't shut up about it.

In terms of actual solutions, this is a problem that should be easily and quickly fixable: flat saucer plate instead of bowl. Done....

Instead, screaming at the top of lungs, tons of time wasted.

Throw the cat a plate already? That's not the real issue. The real issue is, they need something to complain about.

My memory has been really awful lately. I've been saying the same thing within a few sentences of last saying it in written conversation, I can't remember what I stood up for as soon as I stand up, and have to constantly refer to my to-do list despite having done these tasks daily for a long time.

Today I started to really miss the long nails I used to have.
I used to grow them out really far, and file them down to keep them sharp, so I could cut tape easily, but I can't have long nails due to where I work, so I have to keep them short.
Normally I don't think about it, but today I really missed that for some reason. [/trivial sads]

Metal and useful. Nice. I can understand missing those.

How do live with long nails, especially sharpened ones?

Whenever my nails get even slightly long, I begin to wake up with random cuts on my fingers.

You just get used to it, really. After a while, you just naturally hold your hands in a way that you don't have the tips facing towards you, and learn to stop clenching your fists. I already learned to throw punches with the second knuckle as apposed to the first (boney knuckles hurt, people learned quick) so that never really became a problem for me.

*Is filthy American*

Also, I just remembered that I have to go see the psychologist or whatever the hell they call themselves today.
Ugh.

Yeah. 20 degrees Celsius is enough to have me freeze to death.
I consider 20 to be way too warm.
-5 to 15 is where I'm comfortable. But even 15 is pushing it when I'm trying to sleep.

But yeah I prefer weather where it's reasonable to wear a jumper but not a coat. Though of course there is no such thing as coat weather, making this definition completely useless.

10 degrees celsius is a wizerd-optimal temperature

operational range is between -20 to 20

you can try and push as far as -40 but above 20 will not happen

Fun fact: -40 degrees is the same in both systems (that is to say, too f***ing cold). Minnesota reaches this temperature.

I consider around and above freezing to be good. I do not like heat. I sweat like a nut.
