Some people find those kind of voice attractive, I'm just saying.

I guess I'm not one of those people, attractive to me doesn't sound like someone just got punched in the throat :P

@Yoink, Yeah part of my sig redirects to my band. Although, the stuff linked there is pretty old, I haven't bothered to update the links in some time. Actually, I'm going to update that link right now, thanks for reminding me of that.

Just a warning, how you hear your voice is probably not how other people hear it. The sound travels directly through your body to your eardrums as you speak, giving you a somewhat different sound.

Once again, it's the season for crappy online enrollment, trying to cope with a crappy buggy website and competing with others for class schedules like it was some Black Friday sale.

And yet again I realize how blessed I am for my school to have a competent IT team.

You seem to be the only one.
As far as I know IT technicians are mostly people who couldn't get proper jobs in their field.

...Online enrollment?
ONLINE ENROLLMENT!?
Back in my day (which means even now), we had bloody lines.
Bloody 6 hour lines, not even taking in the lunchbreak and 'oh, just remember your place'. While that's a good idea because of trust/loyalty...I do notice some be cheap and cut in the line with their 'friends'.
Bloody jerks. >_>

I'd prefer to line up, actually. That one has the least amount of errors and everybody gets what they lined up for, unlike in crappy online enrollment where people actually try to hack your account and replace your space with theirs. It's a bloody fest, and not in the least mitigated due to the fact that most of my college's departments direct enrollees to enroll online instead, unless you happened to be new or were signing probationary papers just to have one more shot at the course.

I hope Mass Effect is prophetic, and we really do discover some sign of alien life in the future instead of shrugging at the Fermi Paradox until the heat death of the universe.

Otherwise, all we've got is the fantasy, even if it's a damn good one. :(

I'm in the dead voice camp as well. My voice constantly sounds like I just woke up/have been smoking for 20 odd years. Thing is, I'm only in my 20's and I've never smoked a day in my life. I attribute it to six years or so of playing in punk and metal bands, but still. I get asked if I'm losing my voice often, and in fact I do lose my voice a lot. But that just goes hand in hand with the music I have played/am playing currently (folk punk). As long as I can still sing, I'm happy though. Who needs to talk right?

Right?

I was thinking of making this: http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=139253.0 thread the last couple days, now seems like a good time.

Or its a good one until the sequels...

On the other hand, it would mean that Humans are REALLY special.

I'm feeling pretty down at the moment. It's proving really hard to get my life in gear.

And we're being hunted by two kilometer long cuttlefish.
By that point, humans would release their ultimate weapon on the invading sea-fish. Zoidberg.
